    Smiley Pale Skin

Do you rock pale skin at work?

How do you make your skin look luminous and enviable? How do you stave off ashiness during the dry months? What colors do you wear to highlight your pale, gorgeous self?

I body brush and moisturize with lotion and avocado oil. Looking for additional self-care tips!

Body brush is a good idea. I need to get back doing that - it helps with cellulite too.

My skin gets a couple shades lighter in winter cause I don't get as much sun. I'd say for me to keep my skin looking good, I like to hit the sauna. It gives me a nice rouge - I just got f*cked good look - and helps me glow.

i use coconut oil to keep the winter ashiness down and beat wrinkles.

I make my own scrub at home using Epsom salts and olive oil. Need to do that tomorrow...

I wear bright, bold colors that stand out and look really striking with my pale skin. especially hot pink and cobalt blue. I stay away from pastels and other light or neutral colors that wash me out. When it comes to skin and makeup, I take extremely good care of my skin and keep it as healthy and moisturized as possible so that it glows. I take vitamins, drink lots of water, eat healthy and use the best skin care products. Makeup wise, I'm really into contouring, which gives my pale complexion some definition and makes it look striking. I especially like to use bronzer on the outer edges of my face and blend it in to the top of my cheekbones. It gives my face a nice, faux tan glow. And I love wearing bright colored lipsticks, it looks striking with pale skin...kind of like Gwen Stefani :-)

Hot yoga seems to do good things for my skin. And rose-hip oil to help heal scars / wounds. I ran my knee into my coffee table a couple of months ago and you can still see the wound since my skin is so damn pale. Blah.

Zinc is also fantastic for skin. I take zinc picolinate based on an NIH study I read on it being the best form to increase zinc concentration in your skin.

I use Nars radiant creamy concealer in the shade Chantilly as a highlighter/under eye concealer after applying my foundation (by Rimmel). Another good, less expensive one to use is Maybellines Instant Age Rewind concealer. To contour, I use bronzer from Tarte, their Amazonian Clay bronzer in the shade Park Ave Princess. I'm not a fan of contouring kits, I prefer to use these individual products. They literally make my face glow!

if you wanna do bronzer on really pale skin, i'd stick with light light goldish and pinkish tints.. or maybe a shade or two darker in a powder. browns will look super muddy on porcelain-toned skin. for contouring you want to use cool-toned grays. because the idea of contouring is to add shadow effect and only cool grayish tones properly do that. not meaning to sound like a dick, just what i learned from my makeup obsessive days haha.
its hard to rock pale skin in the club , but when i do really taking care of your skin counts with diet/sunscreen/gentle exfoliation and moisturizing. i also eat a lot of avocados, nuts, protein, bone broth and good healthy fats to make it glow. wash with a body wash or moisture bar instead of plain soap during the winter. sometimes i'll add a light layer of sally hansen in light to my stomach or chest area to smooth things out.

I am pale because I stay out of the sun and not tan. I try to preserve my skin. I also think it fits my style/personality to be pale. I exfoliate often and shave my whole body to keep it luminous and soft. I moisturize after. It's alot of work but it's worth it and it's easier than trying to get a color that I naturally am not (aka tanning).

I also wear bold colors and avoid pastels because they wash me out.

I've never really done anything...I've been blessed with pretty good skin, with the exception of the odd breakout a couple times a year. I started moisturising my face this year at night a few times a week (more than that and I find it actually makes me break out), and I lotion once a week. I've never tanned mostly because I can't, but I'm so pale I can't even use a spray or self tan lotion without it looking streaky...mystic tan was the only thing that worked and that's a waste of $ imo. I never got why girls want to mess with their natural skin colour...and why some management will encourage it. My city is very multi-cultural and pale skin is sought after in many parts of the world, and also popular with older gentlemen (50-55+) I find, so I never saw a reason not to rock it. I find gem tones and black really accentuate it, and mostly wear black, red, and dark blues, and purples. I wish I had more green lingerie because I find it really pops if you have pale skin with pink undertones and a haircolour with some red in it like auburn. +1 on the contouring, I just do it on my face though, I feel like it would rub off on custies at work if you put makeup all over your chest.

Just started rocking natural skin (instead of spray tanning) less than a month ago. (It took a while to get all the spray tan exfoliated out of my skin:-).

I've been a pole dancer for a long time and got serious about it in 2010: classes, competitions, events...and all that stuff. But some permanent scars and bruises come with it. Because of this, I've covered myself in self tanner because I'm self conscious about some permanent bruises.

However, as of a month ago I started working another job, so no time to get sprayed and wait 8 hours+. So, I slowly became 'white' again. I wear boots to cover the bruising on the inside of my knee pits and shins or I wear leg warmers.

The last day I worked, I had a custy tell me how beautiful my white skin is and how he had touched anything so white, lol.

It's a lot easier and less expensive.
