Default Anybody work in Sales? (non sex work related)

So I was reading a thread on Wall Street Oasis (finance forum), http://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forum...re-you-turn-30 (if you want to go read for yourself) It was a thread talking about jobs where you can make six figures before you turn 30. Sales is one that came up in a lot of the responses. Have any of you ladies worked in sales? Mind sharing experiences (industry, general pay, typical day, how you got hired, were you also doing sex work of any kind)? I want to get a vanilla job while doing sex work part time. I don't want gaps on my resume, and I want my none sex work time to be lucrative as well.
(ps I'm not talking about beachbody products or pyramid scheme stuff tho. That doesn't interest me, even tho I have seen a couple girls in real life make out well in it.)

If you're also interested in guys opinions I own and have owned companies with inside sales. One of the women working as a VP's assistant wanted to be given a shot in sales. She now makes very far into the six figures. Some people are just naturals at it.

There are people who make very good money in sales. I will say though that the best money is in higher end sales involving items such as industrial goods, pharmaceuticals and other bulk business to business sales. There is also money still to be made in selling financial services (brokerage products, insurance) to individuals, though for the most part selling to retail customers sucks and will never get you near 6 figures IMHO. There are some real estate agents that make a good living too, but that can be dog eat dog and very hot or miss depending upon the economy.

The challenge is that most of the sales jobs that pay very well: (1) don't fall off of trees; and (2) require training and significant ramp up periods, which can take several months to some number of years. In many of these fields, new hires start as sales assistants and, if they are lucky, eventually get their shots. Even selling brokerage services, insurance and real estate to retail clients requires licensing, which often involves finding a firm to sponsor you to sit for tests and, in some cases, sign off on education and training hours.

Just some food for thought. You may want to find something that really grabs your interest and then start researching what you might need to do to break in to the business. Oh, and be careful if you choose real estate. A high % of people who start down that road ultimately don't end up being able to make a living at it as it is an extremely competitive marketplace.

    Good luck!

Thanks guys for answering, even though was hoping to have some fellow sex worker ladies responses.
Been offered a few insurance and financial sales positions before, did background research and it just wasn't worth it to me and my time. I have a finance degree and wealth management is interesting (and I enjoy working on my own portfolio), but the majority of "financial adviser" positions is not what I am after. Have thought about getting my real estate license for a while and have some successful real estate contacts, so may get it since the license and the testing is cheap and flexible hours. Tech and healthcare are industries I have interest in and (non sales) experience in, fintech would probably be a good fit for me based on my background.
