Default Club forgetting to stop my CRs?

I started at a new club a few weeks ago. I love everything about the club however I make a good portion of my money by selling champagne rooms. After 30 minutes (or an hour, whichever) the DJ is supposed to announce over the microphone that your time is up. However, sometimes the manager himself will come over and stop the time too.

Well, out of all the CRs I've done so far, the club has forgotten about us altogether OVER HALF THE TIME. Now obviously, the smart thing to do is just time them myself, which is what I've started doing. However they are also supposed to give us free champagne after buying which has also been forgotten more times than not. While many customers don't care too much about the champagne, I can definitely tell that not getting everything that was promised kills the mood for some of them who otherwise may have bought more time. Plus, I find it way easier to sell another half hour if the guy is super horny and drunk versus sobering up towards the end (which puts him in the mindset to go home). Last night a customer actually got somewhat grumpy when he realized our drinks weren't coming.

I wasn't sure whether to blame the DJ or the manager at this point, the manager said it was the DJs fault but I have a feeling it's also slightly his own, though I could be wrong. I say this because we have 3 DJs and all 3 of them have done this...and I doubt all of them are all that forgetful. I'm thinking the manager is somehow forgetting to log it. I'm also not sure how much tip out to take away from the DJ (I tip 20 on average, its 10 minimum) because I'm known for tipping well and the staff really appreciates it, but I also need to make it clear they can't waste my time like that (especially if my phone is ever broken/forgotten and I have no way to time it myself). *But* I'd feel awful if it was, in fact, the manager who was at fault and I took $$ away from the DJ

Should I have a private talk with the manager and let him know I'm getting really concerned that they keep forgetting both about our time and our drinks? How should I ask him in a non-rude or awkward way whose fault it really is/who I shouldn't be tipping as much? I don't want to switch clubs because I bank here and love the club itself. This is the only real negative about the club

Side note: While other girls say this has happened to them, it has been happening to me more than anyone else from what I can tell. I've never actually seen it happen, even the drinks being forgotten, to anyone else

Maybe they think you don't tip enough. I normally tip out 10% to whoever helps me out with the CR. If the DJ is helping out more when it comes to that maybe he should be getting more than $20? I will only tip around that much to the DJ at my clubs but thats because they don't do anything else besides playing music for us. Maybe you can ask your coworkers how much they tip out the DJ and manager to get an idea. I mean I can't think of why else they would strictly be doing this to you and no one else. But this is definitely something you can bring up to the manager. Just tell him that lately you and the customers haven't been getting champagne during the CR and you think they will buy more time with you if they do get the drinks. The manager wants customers to spend money so he should care about that. But if multiple DJs and managers are doing this to you a lot and not to other dancers then I would definitely think it's a tipping issue.

The manager is the one who helps with the CR, the DJ just announces when it's over. He doesn't do much besides play music either lol which is why I usually give him 20 or sometimes 25. However all the DJs seem quite happy when I tip them even $20 so I really don't think that's it, but I suppose that's something to consider. The DJs have told me in the past I tip them well. Like they've said those exact words so if anyone's doing it intentionally I don't think it's the DJs.

I also usually tip the manager $20 who takes us back there per CR so idk, I'm really not thinking that's it. But could be I suppose. Still, if they're doing this purposely then I actually will switch clubs simply because that's ridiculous

You could be right though, maybe they're expecting even more $$ than I thought.

Oh well then you probably are tipping the DJ enough and just maybe not the manager. I tip the manager 10% of what I make so it's always more than 20$ (if he's the one helping me with that CR). It sounds like everything is fine with the DJ so maybe try asking him and getting his opinion? But I think $20 is low for a manager if he's bringing you the champagne and whatnot.

Edit: Oh wait you said $20 PER room. Well I mean if I do two CR and make $1000 I will tip out $100 to the manager but you would end up tipping $40 to the manager. That's a big difference but all clubs are different so it may not be the case with you. I would see what other dancers are tipping out to get an idea.

I hadn't realized that was it but come to think of it, it very well may be. Thank you!! Not sure why I didn't realize this.

Half hours are 250 and we keep 200. Should I give him 40? that just seems like a lot but maybe I'm being cheap lol

I mean it really isn't the same at every club but the managers at my main club will tell me who has money and who will get CRs so I always tip them good when they help me in any way. But are you saying 40 for the hour? If I were you I would be doing 10% so yeah every hour would be $40.

IMHO I think the club is just terribly unorganized and/or being cheap. It benefits them to not give the customer their bottle, obviously.
I've worked in a club where they let 30 min rooms run on to 45 mins and it drove me insane... happened to everybody... it was literally just the bouncers not giving a shit.

Personally there is no way I'd be giving a manager $20 per room anyway unless they pointed me at the spending customer. If you're finding these customers yourselves and doing all the upselling & all he does is walk you to the room (and then proceed to forget the time/bottle!), I wouldn't give him a dime.

My vote is to tell the manager this is ridiculous and impacting your sales.

Our club is like that too. They're supposed to time the rooms for us but they're lazy as f*ck and majority of the time we time ourselves. And we are forced to give them 16%

Wear a watch and don't tell the customer anything about the champagne. Pretend the champagne does not exist. If it shows up, great! If it doesn't, he's none the wiser.
Also, I tip the host (or in your case the manager) 10% of whatever I make in the room (not my tip though).
