Yeah if it's 1st day or heavy flow I feel paranoid my feminine protection will fail me and I'll bleed all over my customers. This is one of the reasons i wear black during menstral cycle.
But if you really need to go just take 2 Advil, use a heat pad, and lay down for about an hour or so then wake up your pain should be gone.
“Cook for him like a housewife, fuck him good like a nympho….pay the rent and the car note, he invests in me like crypto”
I hate to do it but force myself to sometimes during bad timing like...rent and bills are due next week and it comes thurs-sat and I have had a bad preceding week and am behind on my goals for the month type of thing. My routine:
NO caffiene, or as little as possible. The double whamy is having to do a shift like this after working late the night before and you just CAN'T wake up with out some java. In that case half a cup, after taking advil and eating breakfast.
No cigarettes
Like ^, use a heating pad, or heat generating rub for muscle pain like kalaya lotion (or anything similar with eucalyptus in it)
Drink lots of water
Allow some extra time to get ready for work, relax beforehand, and make sure to eat a healthy meal high in protein and low in sugar to help tamper mood swings.
If your cramps are SUPER bad, look into getting the over-the-counter medicine Buscopan. It is a muscle relaxer, and it saved me back in high school when I had such bad cramps and wasn't allowed to leave my retail job at the mall during before xmas madness. It really works wonders, it doesn't mask the pain it stops the muscle spasms at their source. And there is no nasty side affects.

I can deal with cramps and fatigue but I have missed my fair share of saturdays because of menstrual migraines. They are brutal. I've seen a neurologist and he he prescribed Maxalt after months of ER trips. That takes the edge off the worst when combined with a muscle relaxer and once I get past the nausea and puking I take a percocet to get past the residual pain. Between all that I basically lose an entire day of whatever I have planned.
Luckily they are less frequent and severe than years past after getting my hormones balanced but they still happen.

I don't have PMS or cramps anymore but, when I was in my 20's... Holy hell!
Instead, I have uterine fibroids and my period gets EXTREMELY heavy. Not risking that.
