    Question Headphone Help?

Does anyone know which kind of headphone would be best to use with one of those old fashioned Televisions? I.E. not flatscreen.
I know lots of you ladies are very tech savy. I tried looking it up online,( youtube, etc), but nothing.
My live-in maid, or should I say slack job of a maid, sits in front of the t.v. from morning, till night. She claims shes hard of hearing.
The tv is one of those huge sets, with a bass sound, AND its right outside of my bedroom.
I spoke to the owner of this place, and he's in agreement, and will pay for them.
Problem is, there is no jack (that i can see) specifically for headphones.
Ideally, i would like her to use wireless headphones, because she'll probably fight me on using them to begin with, and i would like it to be the easiest route.
    Thanks in advance.

If the TV is too old it may not be possible.

If you can get the model number and the brand and google that it will probably give you the info.

If there are no jacks on the tv then I don't think it's possible.

You can probably use wireless headphone if the tv has a place to plug the receiver into. I had a pair of non Bluetooth wireless headphone back in the day and they connected to the tv using a receiver plugged into the device you want to hear the audio from.

Do you know who the tv manufacturer is they may be able to recommend some compatible headphones.

Thank you. I will look into them. It's a Sony brand, however I don't see a model Number or name.

If the TV has an optical output, (tiny square output for receivers, game consoles etc.), you can purchase an optical to female 3.5mm headphone jack. Or if the TV doesn't have optical output, you can purchase a RCA to 3.5mm plug. RCA are those wires that have red and white caps and they are made to attach better speakers to the tv. These adapters only cost anywhere from $1 to $5. You can pick them from a dollar store, Amazon, or any radio shack type store.
