Default Thinking about buying an extra laptop for split camming?

I am thinking about buying another laptop so I can split cam on other websites. Does anyone else use 2 computers side by side to cam with? My main site is streamate and the laptop that I use for sm has these specs:
HP ENVY 17-j100 Notebook PC series

    My processor is : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHZ 2.40 GHZ

    Installed Memory (RAM): 8.00 GB

64-bit operating system, x64 based processor

I dont want to spend a lot of money on a second cam to split cam with so I was wondering if I could get by with a cheaper cam to split with until I can afford to do better? In other words, is streamate the only site the requires a pc with a i7 processor? Could I get by with a cheaper laptop for other sites and would it be worth the investment? Or pay for itself in the long run?

I have a hsn credit card so I wanted to get a laptop from there but only want to spend around $400. I found 2 with that price range:

    http://www.hsn.com/products/dell-156...ftware/7925558

    http://www.hsn.com/products/hp-156-l...laptop/7924488

Would one of these be ok for split camming? What I was thinking about doing is just having the laptops side by side.

The Sites that I am currently on are:

    Streamate (my main site)

chaturbate ( just have added it but was thinking having a 2nd cam would help with getting followers ? )

MFC ( havent worked it much)

    Adultwork

Plus I am still adding a little at a time.

You already know the requirements for streamate, you just need to find out the requirements for your main second site. If your working on cams and streamate they both ask for models who want to be in HD to use adobe encorder. but cams spec requirements are a lot less expensive then streamate. so you can get away with an I5 machine for your second site. until you see the need to upgrade it.

I use two desktops and have it set up where I have two large monitors.

When it comes to splitting you to think of it as a Tier system with two legs. at the top of that leg is Streamate on the left and cams on the right. then after that are the other sites you work on.

So for this type of split camming there is no extra software needed, you just need the second computer? I have a old desktop just hanging around. Is it easier on internet then splitting from one computer? Mines upload 0.48-0.74 depending on it's mood at the time so there's not a lot to work with.
Sorry about the thread Jack op!

So would my 2nd laptop need to have at least an i5 processor or could I get by with something less for like cb or mfc? I am not really for sure which ones I will be splitting with yet but was thinking about cb or mfc... I am still adding sites one at a time

The 2 laptops that I posted a link for have these processors:

    one has a 1.6GHz Intel Pentium quad-core (N3700) processor

and the other has a 2.16GHz Intel Pentium quad-core (N3540)

With CB and MFC yes you could get away with less, because they aren't asking for high specs. If fact they are just asking for internet connect, computer and webcam. which basically gives the whole imagination of what machine you can afford and dream of.

The more machines using your internet at the same time can slow down your feed so you want to increase your internet speed and router range and wired connection is best for camming.

sometimes buying a computer for camming can seem really complicated but it's not if your computer is majority used for camming then it won't slow down. if your computer is use for camming , then also Netflix, video editing then overtime it slow time a little faster then just having machines only for camming.

when I use to cam in a studio the owner had old machines with littler basics for camming about 10 GIG for the whole machine it ran windows, the video capture card and a microphone. so if you tired to surf while you were on cam it would slow down everything, trying to sneak in and download some instant messenging it would slow down.

Att will be here tomorrow to install utherverse, so I will be going from 4 upload with charter to 18 upload with att but I'm not sure what you mean by router range? And I do use a wired connection when I am camming.
