Haven't posted here in a while - just the occasional lurk. But this is such a bummer I had to post something.
STP isn't the greatest club music (I dunno I guess you could throw sex type thing up there and it would work ok, but most of their stuff like interstate love song, etc. isn't really dance friendly), but man is it good music. Not sure if any fans on the board -- a lot of you may be too young to know these guys -- but just to say it -- RIP brother.
For anyone who is bored and has 5 minutes -- go to youtube and search "STP - Acoustic - Atlanta" -- first hit is a recording of Scott and the guitar player (Dean Deleo) doing an in-studio version of "Atlanta" at WAAF (a great hard rock station in boston). It is just two guys and an acoustic guitar -- no other equipment, no nothing. In my view one of the greatest unplugged performances ever done -- just an amazingly beautiful take on the song.
Sigh.

I used to play "Atlanta" every day before getting up for school.
I'm a huge STP fan and I dance to many of their songs (my favorite one is Lady Picture Show). He was found dead on his tour bus, I guess due to cardiac arrest. I really sucks because I'll never get see him play live
