If you've never stripped before, start locally first. Find out if you even like stripping, get good at it, save up some money, and then hit the road. When you're ready, check out this thread for a run-down of how dancing works across Canada, because it does vary, especially when you get out west: https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sh...sked-Questions!

I've done it in the US. There is a book by Lily Burana called 'Strip City' that documents her strip trip across the country.

The way to make this trip the most fun is to find a stripper friend to join you on your cross country journey. You can split the travel expenses and you have someone to share the experience with and stave off loneliness. And yes, when you travel alone for long periods of time, the road can become very lonely.

Before you begin your trip, you should try working at a local strip club to see what your own personal reaction is to the environment. Keep in mind that people in the business exaggerate everything, most especially earning potential for individual clubs. At one point during my travels I found myself in a sex trafficking situation, and that was after working as a stripper for almost a year and traveling to clubs in nearby cities.

I also recommend having an escape plan should things not go according to plan. When I got swept up in a sex trafficking situation I was too dumb to even realize what was going on. When I checked into the "dancer dorm" there was a girl bawling her eyes out in the main room. The "agency" had her trapped in her contract and she was forced to trick to pay her house fees. She was bawling because her boyfriend and the father of her child were threatening to leave and he was threatening to take sole custody because she admitted to having sex for money while under pressure from the club.*

*This club was shut down a long time ago and had been in the news many, many times because of abuse and sex trafficking of adults.

I still didn't realize what was going on, so I went to work and made $0. At the end of the shift, I had done 3 or 4 lap dances, but made no drink sales or VIP sales. The club kept all of my dance money and demanded I pay for 6 "Ladies Drinks" at $15 each that I was required to sell every shift in addition to my $200 house fee and my $45/ night lodging expenses. The lap dances were $20 a song. I left owing the club $255 on my first night. On my second night the Asian "Tiger House Mom" told me I have to get a lot dirtier if I wanted to make money. She'd yell at me that I'm not "dirty enough" and that the customers are complaining because I don't give hand jobs or blow jobs.

It was about that time I pulled my head out of my ass and realized what was going on. I got with the program on my 2nd night and made some money by doing extras. I'm the type of person who is pretty open to new experiences and had been comfortable with casual sex and swinging before I ever danced-- I mostly didn't want to get caught doing extras-- I had no personal issue with performing extras. My boyfriend would have a lot of issues if he ever found out. He didn't. I'm still with him.

I hung out until the end of my shift and got in the minivan/ shuttle back to the dancer dorm. We had a security guard at the dorm which, at first I thought was awesome. In retrospect, he was there to stop girls from running away. My roommate and I called a cab and snuck out in the mid-morning hours when everyone was asleep. We got a motel room (on my credit card, she had no money at all) then went to a travel agency nearby and I bought us both plane tickets back to Oregon.

My roommate was freaking out that the club was going to sue her for breech of contract. I just laughed, and told her that a contract for something illegal is not enforceable. She was legit worried that the club was going to sue her. Anyhow, my last night in Anchorage was spent in the airport. Lodging there is very expensive, and although I still had an open balance on my Amex, I wasn't going to run it up to limit. A day hanging out in the airport wasn't going to kill us.

This was in the 1990's, so airport security was very easy. We slept with our luggage at the gate and hung out for 22 hours before our flight left.

I did get to see the midnight sun! That was awesome. Also, I have an interesting story to tell about my strip trip to Alaska. At the time, however, it royally sucked.

FYI, I never heard from this club again. Or the girl I left with.

    This ^^

Out west is basically all agency run, so in that respect it makes travel very easy because they set up bookings for you. However it's not a friendly place to try to start as a brand new dancer trying to cover expenses- you need good costumes and decent stage chops as well as promo to make money out here. And sales skills if you want to sell dances- they're basically all air dances or one way contact here, and generally viewed as "expensive". A little different than Montreal.

Yep, id say what the other girls said about dancing near u first to find out if u like it then if you do, research places u wanna go and the clubs in them u wanna visit. Keep a guym membership like planet fitness which is everywhere so u can stay in shape on the road, If your gonna travel with another girl, you should know her real well first, don't just fuck w any stripper most r crazy, none of us of course lol. I like staying alone so i don't gotta worry about stealing bitches or jelous hoes setting me up or prostitution going on , etc. but that does get boring as hell eventually unless you stay in a city long enough to make some friends. keep a gun so if anyone breaks in
