Indy sites like you listed above do have some traffic, but the main idea behind indy camming is you get a higher percentage payout because you're bringing in your own traffic. You get what you put into it, as with any camming really. But yeah, if you have the fanbase, good twitter/tumblr following, and know how to market yourself then yes, indy camming can be very good!

In terms of 'banking' I don't think so no. I make at least 5 x more on big box sites, frustrating as that is. Indy is definitely worth persevering with as if your cam sites ever go tits up or aren't paying so well any more, you'll have Indy regulars built up and ready to go. Even though they tend to payout more than big box sites, pricing is a lot lower on average and it is very very time consuming sorting the wheat from the chaff. You could make $100 per day yes but it will take longer and be harder than with a non Indy site x

Yes, it's possible, but there are some caveats:
1) It's not going to happen overnight. Especially if you don't have a current fan base that will follow you to your indy sites. It could be many months before you establish any sort of consistent indy income.
2) It's not going to happen over a couple of hours a day (usually). This isn't like your free chat sites, where you can log in knowing that even if you only average $40/hour, you still only have to be there for 2.5 hours to make $100. With indy, you can be logged in for 6 hours and get nothing, and then make $150+ in the seventh hour. Some days you might walk away with $35, if anything, and others you might take home $300 or more. Indy really is a time game - the more hours you can spend logged in, the better your chances of making money. The good news is that you can always turn your computer volume up and do something else for those 6 hours until you hear a Skype message come in.
3) It's not going to happen if you just sit there. Like everyone said, you're going to have to build your brand and market yourself. The pool of indy cam customers is growing, but it's still not large, so you can't rely only on existing traffic.
4) It will not happen if you charge absurdly low rates. Indy rates are significantly lower than, for example, SM rates, but I really, strongly recommend that no model charge less than $3/minute as a base rate. I go slightly lower than that on my biggest "bulk buying deal," but in those cases, I'm taking home at least $160 (my cut) for a single show.
5) It won't happen if you have a very low tolerance for douchebags, or too high a tolerance. Indy is kind of the wild west of camming, and sadly, there are a lot of guys that will try to trick you, haggle you, get a freebie, text chat with you endlessly for free, or otherwise bother you ad nauseum. If you're too nice and don't shut that behavior down, you'll burn out fast from constantly getting swindled and pestered to death. If you absolutely hate that stuff and can't let it roll off you, you'll burn out fast from excessively high blood pressure.
All that being said, indy is a really fun, exciting, and potentially profitable place to be, and I love it!

Just my own observation. Twitter and all isn't necessary as I do very well indy without social media but it's definitely a way to get yourself out there and I heard it's a proven way to pick up some clients.
Believe In Your Brand

I just started on LCMS so it's all new to me. I respect Loveshooks and have been following her thread here since I joined. She's a smart woman and I think it's a good idea to be on her site. I'm not big in promoting myself (I have to use my laptop for twitter and have an old blackberry) but I'm easing into it slowly. I think being your own boss is the best feeling. I agree with the other girls here, you have to do the work, but I enjoy the effort. It's my business. I do great on Streamate, so-so on MFC. I can see a few bucks on LCMS in my future...;-)
Hell yes you can. Because even if you are priced much lower than on big box sites (which lots of clients can't afford or want to be frugal about... and no, not necessarily cause they are cheapasses) you still get so much more $ per client dollar that it's totally worth it.
I make about 75% of income from indy alone and I don't really advertise very much at all.
G-spot rocks the G-spot.
I am interested in doing indy too but what all sites can you do indy on?

^^ LiveCamModelShows.com is very highly recommended, is owned and run by our mod loveshooks, and pays 85%. The official thread is https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sh...ndent-Camgirls
CamModelDirectory.com is also a good site, and has been around a bit longer. The owner, Mark, seems to be a good guy who is on the models' side. It pays 75% base, and 80% on anything you make over $500 (as paid by the customer, not your cut). The official thread is https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sh...rectory-Thread
In my opinion, less recommended, but still viable, is Skyprivate.com, which pays 75% and is a pay-per-minute plug-in for Skype. I do not recommend it as much as the others because it's intended to work directly with Skype, but isn't sanctioned by Skype itself; the model assistance/customer service is spotty at best; and there are more glitches than I would like. The official thread is: https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sh...ght=skyprivate
You can also do Skype shows through AW, but I haven't had much luck on that front, and the payout is 70%. I wouldn't really recommend that route unless you want to do regular camming on AW,in which case you can just offer the Skype shows in addition.

It's difficult because once you do have a few regulars it can be good for awhile however, you end up depending on that income from those select few customers more so than on big box sites where customers are more ubiquitous. Then you start disappearing from the big box sites because you are busy as an indy girl. Your placement suffers. Then all of a sudden a few of your indy regulars stop buying shows and you're kind of screwed. You try and go back to the big sites to make up for the income loss but your placement has dropped.
In the end, I found that the best balance is to get payment for Skype shows through a token site like MFC. Yes, MFC takes more but, the offline tips boost my camscore so I don't have to worry about placement. I still get the exposure and support of a big box site and it all works out best for my not so niche GFE broad appeal image.

Suppose I gotta chime in and mention ModelCentro.com as a platform form indy - making your own full-blown website is easy if you go with MC. It's a bit of a step up from just camming, but many find having a website a great addition to camming and a good "storage place" for fans.
