Default Want to work everyday for a few months....how to not burn out?

My aunt has breast cancer & long story short she needs to come up with 30,000 in three months. She has a small portion of it but it's not even enough for a month of drugs/treatment.

I know I can make the money if I work everyday I just don't know how my body or my mind can take it. How can I work 7 days a week for 3 months and not burn out?

That sucks. I'm sorry to hear that! Are you in the US? She may have some other options now with all the new Health Care legislation there are laws against denying pre-existing conditions. Anyway, to answer your actual question- I knew a girl that would come from Brazil and work doubles every day for 30 days then take off one week to go home to her family and then do the same thing. She probably made 300K in a year, easy. I remember that she ate very healthy, didn't drink alcohol; worked out as much as she could, tried not to stay until the club closed every night (only until she hit her quota), wore pretty casual stuff like lingerie sets and short dresses with 5 inch heels instead of crazy corsets and super-high heels....but literally the strip club was her life. If she wasn't at the club or sleeping she was working out or doing her hair or nails....

Thank you, I'm in the US but shes in my home country in Columbia :/ I am working on getting her here but it's such a long process and it's last on my list of priorities. I definitely need to start eating better and working out more I think that's why I get drained so quickly now.

Colombia has Universal Health Care, of sorts- either public insurance, or private insurance based on income tier- or she can file a tutela. (sp?) She should talk to her Dr. Anyhow, good luck to you. Also, don't stay at the club too late! That's the most important part is to rest, and also drink a lot of water.

OK, first of all, I'm sorry to hear about your aunt. But believe it or not, you don't have to do this. Did you know there are natural, alternative treatments for breast cancer? Turkey Tail mushrooms cure breast cancer. Seriously. I've know about this for years, and many people who take Turkey Tail mushrooms as a cancer treatment report success in getting rid of the cancer completely! Please don't let her or yourself pay $30,000 - that is ridiculous!

Save yourselves the trouble, the pain, and the money and just buy these: http://www.fungi.com/product-detail/...ules-60ct.html

    Proof: http://undergroundhealthreporter.com...tail-mushroom/

    http://www.bastyr.edu/news/general-n...ancer-patients

And stripping every day for months WILL burn you out, guaranteed. But you don't have to do that!

I'm really sorry to hear about your aunt I also really don't wanna be a Debbie Downer, but I don't think it's a good idea to even attempt it.
You're brand new at dancing, and you're not in a good area of the country for it $$-wise... To make that much you'd need to literally work 7 days a week, and clear at least $333 EVERY. SINGLE. SHIFT. With no slow days.

That's a LOT of pressure. You really have to be in shape for your body to handle it. The mental toll can be enormous too. Even the badass-iest veterans I know can't do more than 2 weeks in a row without at least a week off. This is a recipe for permanently burning yourself out.

    Hey hun,

I'm sorry to hear about your aunt. I was in a similar situation where I had to make a good amount of money in a short period of time a couple of months ago.

I managed to make about 30,000ish in less than 3 months by working non-stop. I would travel to northern Ontario for work and stay there for 2 weeks at a time and then go home for a week at a time. My week off was just about selfcare, spending quality time with those I love and trying to recuperate after an intense two weeks of work. I don't think I would be able to do it without that down time in between working. Usually in the two weeks I would make about 8,000ish working Mon-Sat. While at home I would would work one or two nights a week at a local club to cover my living expenses, everything I made while I was away went into savings for the most part. I was new to dancing at that time but because I worked so much in such a short period of time, I feel like I learned a lot quicker than most girls do.

I wasn't making crazy money at the club I was at but it was consistent. I had tried a couple of different places out before I choose one club to focus on. I knew I could make a min of 400 bucks a night there, especially if I worked a double and usually it was more than this. Thurs-Sat it wasn't too hard to make 1,000 if working a double. This club also had shift pay which covered my housing expenses, which was helpful.

Being away from home made me more focused and since I didn't know anyone else in the town, I had nothing to do but work. I worked every day and would often do doubles. It was kind of a regulars dominated club with a decent day shift, so after a while guys got to know me and it was easy to line up customers. I spent a lot of time cultivating relationships with the guys who would come in, got their numbers and I would text them to let them know that I was in the club and thinking of them. Even having one guy come in and spend 100 bucks made the shift a lot easier to deal with, especially if it was a slower night. I didn't spend any energy getting to know the other dancers there but after a while I developed friendships with a couple and we would hussle together. I found this to be really helpful in making my daily goals.

I'm not drop dead gorgeous but I was a hard worker and very personable. I'm not that good of a dancer but I think I was consistently one of the stronger husslers in this particular club. I never stopped working while at the club, except when I would give myself a couple of minutes in the change room to refresh or have a snack. When it was totally dead, I would go through my contact list and send texts to guys who I thought would be interested in coming in again to see me. I know this doesn't work at every club but it was helpful for me.

I didn't drink much, I didn't take smoke breaks and pretty much all I did was work and sleep. I made sure to get an adequate amount of sleep every night and to eat as clean and healthy as I possibly could. I rented a room at a student residence and I had a small kitchen, so I could prepare all my own meals. I didn't waste time/money on nails, hair or outfits. I wore pretty much the same thong/bikini set in different colours, wore my natural hair colour and did my own nails. When I was at home I would go tanning to maintain my colour. I was working so much that I didn't need to work out because I was getting my exercise at the club.

I hope some of this info is helpful for you. I think when you have something to motivate you to go to work every day and work your ass off, it really helps.

Ok so advice if you actually do try this (and by the way, PM me and let me know what club you ended up at )

Basically what everyone said about eating healthy and getting enough sleep. Make sure your downtime is YOUR downtime. Don't do club related shit, except maybe like painting your nails while watching TV.

Something I've found that makes it easier/less burnout inducing, when I try to work more than once or twice a week regularly, is trying to maximize my $$/hours. I know it's common sense but nobody's mentioned it yet
If you're planning to work the same club all the time, try to keep track of what you made in each shift; figure out the hourly; and then cherry pick the best times of day to come in. For example, on a Tuesday you may make more hourly doing the after-work-drinks 5p-10p shift than doing the 2am closing shift that's usually good on weekends. If you're doing doubles, figure out when the slow time is and take a couple hours to go eat (OUTSIDE the club).

Sorry to hear about this. If you decide to go full time, make sure you take a day or better two off per week. Make time for you. Set aside at least eight hours for sleep in every 24. If you are working nights, usually the better dollar hours, get some aluminum foil to tape over the windows in your bedroom. Make some time every day for exercise. A good run, bike or swim will work wonders. I have a stationary bicycle in my TV room. So I bike, and watch some TV at the same time. Remember, biking has to be twice as fast or twice as long as your run. Swimming can be half the distance of your run or half the time for the same workout. Don't do the same workout day after day. Mix in hard sprints or hill work one day, a long run the next, followed by 400m or 800m repeats. Eat lots of fruits and veggies. Don't smoke and don't drink at work. At work, drink water only, no alcohol. Away from work, it's fine to relax with maybe one glass of wine per day. Finally, put aside some personal time. If you have a sex partner, set aside time for some fun. If you are not partnered, I always like quickies and my dryer is an awesome place to masturbate.

When you are at work, hold to the rule of staying on the floor unless it's for a quick costume change or to clean up. Stage dances are you opportunity to meet lots of custys. When one tips, remember where they are and go up to them after the stage show and ask them about VIPs. Once you are done with a VIP, if you don't need to clean up, go back on the floor and circulate to any custys whom you didn't get after your last show. Know all your club's money making opportunities. I danced a couple of places where girl/girl shows were allowed and could be very profitable. My sexuality is such that I'm good with girl/girl action so I always offered G/G shows to custys. If that's not your sexuality, don't offer. It's hard to fake. The same club had a "shower show" room. I never really had much luck there, but some girls made bank. In your situation, I'd learn all the ways the club has, de facto and de jure to make bank.

Good luck and best wishes on whatever you decide to do.

    XOXO
    Z

I think this is totally doable! I would go in total work-mode, tell my friends I'm taking a "time out" from them, work til I hit my quota everyday/night then go home (of course, if I notice there's more $$ in the club I'd stay longer), I would not jump on the health train, like eating healthy and stuff. Before/after work I would treat myself to eat whatever I want, Netflix and try and relax until I go back to work. its definitely not going to be your happiest 3 months of your life but you have a goal and just keep your eyes on it! When it's over you'll have this feeling that you could concur the world! No drugs or alcohol though!

Yes, I'd go nuts if I first had to work like a maniac and then on my personal time eat nuts, salads, drinking water, meditate while on a tread mill! Ha ha! It's just how I would do it, I'd treat the fuck outta me when off work.
I've been a travel dancer, dancing 12 hour shifts for weeks and that what's kept me sane(ish!)!

^ You can totally treat yourself to stuff, but your body isn't really meant to survive on junk food to begin with & it isn't gonna do well being thrown into working every day and then told it has to subsist on sugar and carbs.

Working at different clubs helped. When I had to get money quickly to buy my car I worked at 2-3 different clubs. When I got the car I worked at 3 different clubs. Kept me from going insane from the same bullshit at one club so when I was tired of one I went to the other one. Or one was good for the weekends only and the others were good for weekdays only and did that.

I was going to say work at more than one club so you don't go stir crazy. ^
Work 5 days a week. If you do 7 you are going to make less cause you are so tired. You make more when you're not tired/burnout/crabby/only going through the motions.

Default Re: Want to work everyday for a few months....how to not burn out?

I've done it in my early 30's. I didn't work 7 days a week because I was traveling, but it felt like 7 days a week because Sunday was when I would check out of my hotel, do laundry, and drive to the next city to dance.

It was hard but worth it. I didn't drink at work at all. I did, however, smoke weed every night after work to help me fall asleep a little more quickly. I would plan my meals out during the work week to keep my energy up and to protect my health.

The key is to keep switching clubs. I'd work 1 week, 6 days in a row, at a club before moving on. I would return to that same club once a month (I'd travel away from home for a month then just reverse my route back home.).

The key to making this work is to make everything automatic. Get your bills set up on auto pay so you don't forget to pay something. Have a routine planned out for every day. My days looked like:

11am:Wake up, have coffee and breakfast at hotel.
    12pm: Workout/ tan/ errands
2pm: Lunch (this was my biggest meal of the day. I'd try to eat 900-1000 calories worth) and correspondence with family/ friends
3pm: Shower, hair, makeup get ready for work
4:30pm: drive to club (this depends on the start times. I would usually work 5pm-2am).
8:00pm: Dinner break at work. This time will vary depending on the flow of business. I would pack a lunch that was very grab-and-go such as premixed protein shakes (Muscle Milk was my favorite), fruit, nuts, cheese, crackers etc.
2am: After work meal. Usually purchased at Denny's or other all night cafe. I would usually choose something simple like a salad or soup plus a fruit cup or Oatmeal. Get it to go and eat at home/ in motel room.
3am: Smoke a bowl, shower, get ready for bed.

If a customer gave me his contact info, I'd follow up with them in the dressing room during slow times. If you are only working at the club for a short time, the regulars will make a point of coming in to see you if they know you are there. This is a great way to keep yourself busy even on slow nights.

Another way to prevent burnout is to take on some OTC work. Schedule shopping trips at stores with a liberal return policy. Or buy designer items that can be easily sold on Ebay or Craigslist. A couple hours with a regular OTC can earn you $500+ and give you more time to rest between club appearances. You may also consider setting up an account on Seeking Arrangements (or similar site) to gain new OTC clientele.

You may consider taking on Bachelor Party work, too. I've found parties tend to pay better than club work, but only if they are quality customers. Skip the 18th and 21st birthday parties and just do Bachelor/divorce parties.

The key is to keep mixing it up as well as taking care of your health. Good food, avoid alcohol, and plenty of sleep will be your savior when working this hard.

I'm sorry to hear about your aunt. You've got a very strong motivation to keep going. Keep your eye on the goal and don't let anyone distract you from your goal.

    sorry about your aunt!

i used to see girls with pimps being put to work a lot for doubles, pretty much 6 or 7 days a week and they were just fine, but granted they were young.

when i was 22 or 23 i worked every night from 8:30/9ish to at least 3 or 4 am for the whole month of august. i was fine, but i literally slept from 6am until 5pm, ate and got ready for work. Absolutely no life responsiblities or anything to do except getting my nails done. Oh, and I got DRUNK every single night.

Now, I know that I don't have that stamina anymore. But, my new years resolution is actually working 7 shifts a week from january-may. And i have a kid and a day business now.

bottom line? 'whether you believe you can do it, or believe you can't, you're right'. I love that quote. I'm sure you can do it!

Here's a Debbie Downer thought...how are you planning on getting that money to your aunt? You'll either need to pay an income tax or gift tax on that money, which will be a significant amount.

(I'm really sorry you're in this situation, OP - we're here for support! )

I think you can fly with up to 10,000 cash but then you would have to do that several times and that may get suspicious. You have to pay taxes on that money, there is no way around it.

^ Yeah I wouldn't try that. Honestly I wouldn't fly with any larger sum of $$ on me especially not to a place like Colombia (I'm NOT trying to talk shit about Colombia, before anyone gets up in arms... it just comes across to me as a dangerous country that a young girl with huge sums of cash on her person should not go).

With that said you'd now have to make another $5-$10k for taxes (idk what bracket you're in if you have a vanilla job or anything). So the total amount is now $35-40k.

What about money gram, you could always send in increments. Also, sorry about your aunt and this whole situation.
