Default How did your money and/or earnings expectations change as your cam career progressed?

Did you notice a change in money and/or earnings expectations as your career as a cam model progressed? What did you expect to make on a good day/bad day as a novice? And now? How long have you been doing it? And if you have different parameters now for what constitutes a financially successful or flopped day, how long had you been camming when you noticed the shift in either personal perspective or actual earnings?

Thanks in advance for your input!

Still in transition growing the business, but I've been doing this for about 2 years. I average $20 when slow and $30 an hour when consistently working with little breaks after excluding 30 min for lunch. I love working as a Gunge Girl/model and everyday is different, not having to be around people (I'm very introverted, so it works for me..) Have more time to focus on healing and getting stuff done around the house.

I started in the summer of 2014, camming on SM fairly regularly. 4-6 hours / 3-5 days a week. As a novice I would average around $20/hour, sometimes a bit more, but on bad days I'd only bring in like $40 for the whole day. My weekly paychecks were usually between $400-750. I was a bit timid and shy, and didn't really have my personal style of hustle figured out. That lasted a few months, then I took a hiatus and came back after moving to a new house about a year ago that I was more comfortable camming in. I could work different/better hours than before and I embraced my personality on cam, which people responded positively to, which gave me more confidence. Then I could make about $175-250 a night on average, or more on really good nights. Fast forward to now, I can pull $300-500+ in a 4-8 hour shift.

I would say my earnings expectations are correlated with my placement and general traffic, as well as my general self esteem. As I spent more time online, my placement went up, my traffic increased, thus my earnings increased, and so did my expectations and goals. I increased my rates because I felt confident enough to justify them. Now I have a completely different view of what a "successful" day means compared to when I started.

Honestly for me my expectations have went in the opposite direction. The more issues I've had with placement, glitches etc the more I've learned not to expect to much. When I began camming I got used to around 20 an hour, now as long as I make at least minimum wage I'm if not what you'd say happy at least not shocked or freaking out.
