I know! He was so special, so sweet, so radically beautiful. But now he is free from the tortures of cancer.

Bowie existed so all of us misfits learned that an oddity was a precious thing.
Aww this brought down my morning..RIP his legacy will last forever. -tears

Now, Major Tom is at peace now. Now, I am going to cry in my bed while listening to "Golden years".
R.I.P Thin White Duke.

Lemmy, now Bowie. I was so happy that I got to see Motorhead in a small stage in the summer of 2014, it completed my "3 Big "M's" of Metal: Metallica, MegaDeath and Motorhead. But, although I like them, they don't come close to impacting me as an artist as Bowie did. One of my all time fave songs to perform to (in the days before club dj's high jacked our song choices), was "Moonage Daydream" from the Ziggy Stardust album. When I think about it, that album was already a classic when I started dancing to it and those who know me, know I've been dancing forever!
His imagination was a true gift. He had no google, internet, even radio to really copy from. Back then the BBC so controlled the content that was allowed in Britain. Everything was so heavily censored. He was so inventive. RIPBowie. (Also, check out his last video where he is in a hospital bed with his eyes bandaged. Can't find a link, but just type in: Bowies latest video).

OMG I literally said NO out loud.
I had not heard he was fighting cancer.
Such a great talent.

He didnt make it public that he was fighting cancer. I guess he didnt want his fans to know. Thats why this came as such a shock... Last night I was preparing for bed and had taken a sleeping pill when I decided to check this forum one more time. I saw RIP Bowie and I immediately went to yahoo and saw his picture, which is when I knew it was true and not a hoax. I too literally said NO out loud and my heart started racing and went into my throat.. I just grabbed my hair and said no over and over. I couldnt even cry I was so shocked. Today is a really, really sad day.

What a great creative artist. Very sad right now as the world has a little less light.

A tribute to David Bowie from the International Space Station:

Lemmy and Bowie in a few weeks.
Someone better check on Iggy cause I couldn't handle him going down as well.

It's been a couple days now. I've been listening to his stuff a lot... I still just can't even believe he's gone. I guess in the back of my mind I just felt like he'd always be there. I came of age listening to him and he got me through a lot of difficulties in my adolescence and my young adulthood. And now that he's gone it's like an unexpected void.. I'm never impacted by celebrity deaths, ever. But this is different, this is horrible...

My club keeps playing, "Let's dance". ♡
R.I.P. Sir

First Bowie now Alan Rickman..2016 is shaping up to be a game of thrones episode, I cant deal![]()
