    Default Opening Zip Files

Understand that it maybe stupid to ask but what's the deal with opening zip files sent from a user you don't know, claiming to warn you of a vid that someone has posted somewhere. Yet he doesn't want to give up the name of the forum?

Is the zip supposed to be screenshots or what? Are you asking how to open it and/or if it is safe to do so incase he sent a virus or something?

You can right click on it and scan it with programs like Malwarebytes etc.

It's just odd he isn't just giving you the information upfront and sounds weird.

OMG thank you CamHo! same exact message I got. Though I downloaded the file, I didn't open it, as I do have malwarebytes and it basically begged me not to lol. Thank you, you ladies are awesome.

Delete that sucker off your computer right now and start running for viruses and malware. Just because you don't execute doesn't necessarily mean the sucker can't do damage. So, yes, get it offfff!

I would recommend you ladies get Avast in addition to Malwarebytes. Avast scans for viruses, Malwarebytes scans for, well, malware. They're both free programs.

Something else I do when I download something and I'm not sure if I want to open it is I'll scan it on this website: https://virusscan.jotti.org/ It's not perfect but the more scans you do, the better.
