Default Nyc auditions (as overdone as it may be)

So I took a hiatus and now I am back to dancing so I'm not so much a newbie but I kinda am. I've only danced in seedy hole in the wall clubs/dive bar type clubs, I did it for about a year straight then stopped for about a year and a half and I'm back at it now. I've been lurking through the posts and decided to finally take the plunge and try a Manhattan club, vivid. Now I auditioned around August and was rejected, the reason was "too many girls." I tried again last night and was just flat out rejected. I have absolutely no clue why. I am pretty, well spoken, minimal tattoos(only one, under my arm beside my breast), very thin(down to a size 3 at this point) but I will say I've got a bit of booty. The only issues I can think they might be had with me could be 1. I'm black, 2.my butt is too big, or 3.I twerk too much\dance too fast...? I'm posting pictures, one is just to demonstrate the booty. I kinda just wanted a bit of feedback, maybe it's the outfit or the make up or the hair or maybe I'm just not the Manhattan look.20160115_192232~2.jpgScreenshot_2016-01-16-06-16-22~2.jpg20160115_190930-1.jpg

I have never worked in a Manhattan strip club, I've never even been to one, but after lots and lots of auditions I have come up with something that I feel works for me. Before auditioning at any strip club, I try to go in as a customer if I can. When I'm there, there are certain things that I look at to help me with my audition. I make a mental note of how many black dancers I see (since I'm black and I know some places have a quota), how many dancers of my body type I see, what type of outfits they are wearing (don't want to show up in a bikini to audition somewhere that the girls wear lots of lingerie or gowns), what types of hair styles the girls have, how dramatic their makeup is done, how they dance on stage, etc. After seeing those things, I usually have a good idea as to how I should look when I go to audition. Honestly, throughout my dancing career, the types of dancers I've seen hired most frequently in big city clubs are ones that are thin, toned, wear expensive looking outfits and always wear accessories, and typically have long straight hair and or extensions. Whenever I audition, that is the look that I go for. So, just try checking clubs out before auditioning and seeing if making those observations help you get an idea of how you should look before you go in and if you still don't get hired, know sometimes hiring managers just say no because they feel like it and you can try other clubs until you get hired at a place you like. Don't ever take any of their no's personal.

I think you have a pretty "main stream" look. I would try a little heavier makeup (maybe contouring) and lightening your hair a little bit (highlights but keep the curls) , with some lashes, killer make up and a glam outfit.

Go with a straight weave and try getting your makeup done professionally. You can do it at sephora or Mac with a product purchase of I believe $100-150.
