Ladies, I've been using a phone service call "Ring plus" for the past a few month. The plan I currently signed up gives me 1750 min, 1750 text and 1750 internet data each month for no monthly fee. I would like to share with you guys for our work phones.
Pro:
1) no monthly fee
2) you can actually change your number anytime you want. so no need to switch phone or sim cards
Con:
1) might need you to activate the phone online
2) instead of normal ringing music, you hear ads while it's connecting you
3) it's based on spring network, in my city, it works really well. But I am not sure about other cities.
What Is RingPlus
- RingPlus is a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) using the Sprint network.
- You will hear advertisement or music when you make a call.
- The other party cannot tell any difference.
- You can choose what you hear
- You must make a call every 60 days: Search for "60 days" on https://ringplus.net/legal/members/.
- Calls are made through cellular network, and are not converted to VOIP.
- Is it free / What is a top up - There is no monthly charge. There is a mandatory top up + tax charge at signup that is only used if you exceed the monthly allotment. If you never do then you'll never be charged for another top up. The top up is not refundable or transferrable.
- Cancellation - RingPlus service can be cancelled at anytime without any fees, but top up is lost.
- Roaming - Optional on all plans. Requires temporarily linking your checking account with Zipmark for identity verification and the one-time top up.
- 911 - 911 is handled just like every other phone. The phone goes into the special 911 mode and connects directly and also can roam on other carriers for free

Current Plans and Sign Up
- http://ringplus.net/#plans
- There is NO contract.
- Except for the "Truly Free" plan, plans typically require an account balance that's more than $0.
- Account balance (from a top up) is deducted for MMS, International SMS, Overage, and add-ons you buy.
- MMS can be disabled when you click on your line in Your Dashboard, under Account Features, Manage Device.
- Account balance does not expire and carries over to next month.
- If a plan has a $0 Monthly Price, you will not be charged again if your balance stays above $0 (or, you will ONLY be charged if and only if your balance drops to $0).
Compatible Phones
- Most unlocked phone that are Sprint-specific (including Boost and Virgin) will work.
- Verizon-specific phones, even though they are also CDMA, will NOT work. Besides frequency differences, phones are checked against a database.
- Check phone against the database here: https://my.ringplus.net/device_validation_requests/new
- Compatible phones that are not carrier-specific: https://discourse.ringplus.net/uploa...3b59e5a0c8.png

For a new phone, do NOT open the retail packaging until after successful RingPlus sign-up
So the phone can be returned if sign-up fails.
If you power on the phone before sign-up, the phone might (or likely will?) activate automatically to its original mobile operator (e.g., a Boost phone activate automatically to Boost). A factory reset might not fix it.
If you power on the phone after successful sign-up, the phone might (or likely will?) activate automatically to RingPlus.
