Hey everyone quick question do you need to be over 21 to work in New York clubs. I'm 24 but have a friend who is 18 who wants to dance there and we want to know what the laws are. What clubs could she work at being under 21?

From what I remember there were very few clubs that would allow dancers under 21. Most clubs serve alcohol and you have to wear a thong. In NYS, if the club is nude, there has to be no alcohol served.
I think I remember Sapphire and Gallaghers were two exceptions; the girls that were under 21 had to wear a bracelet so the bartenders/servers could identify they were not of drinking age.
When I was under 21, I went to every club that would let me dance at 18.
Starlets (The name of this place should be called "Bartenders please take all my customers." Oh and the fat ass house mom is a conniving bitch. She looks like the lady who shot Selena.)
Key Club (It was alright, money potential, but rowdy crowd at night! You won't make much if you can't pole dance.)
Jr's Cabaret (Brothel & old hags dance there.)
Mr. Wedge (No schedule, you can come in whenever but pay the house fee and work, RATCHET!)
City Lights (Don't serve liquor & super ratchet and DIRTY!)
NYC (DEAD! No customers. It's down the street from perfections. They have poles that stop halfway before the ceilings!)
The clubs that sent me away or laughed in my face...
Perfections (Door man said "come back when you get ass shots and turn 21.")
Secrets (Only way for me to get in was use of a fake ID. Didn't go anyways.)
Sin City (Got stopped before I could go through the metal detectors. The girl at the front desk was very nice though.)
Club Lust (You never get a response whether in person or through phone. They pick girls from instagram. It's a lottery getting hired there. They are trying to turn it into the ny version of magic city/KOD. Since it opened, nothing but rappers and reality stars frequent. If you haven't been chopped and screwed by Dr. Miami, don't even think about it!)
Keep in mind that these are all black/mixed clubs. (Except for NYC.)
Hope I helped!

I had a good laugh when I read about your description of Starlets bartenders because it's true lol
