Default Good reg complaining about waiting for me

I have a very good reg, comes in every week at the same time but if he has to wait for me when he gets there he gets annoyed. I want to tell him I can't wait for him to show up, have to talk to other customers, if he got there at the start of my shift it would be different. Should I just tell him that?

It's certainly worth a try. Start is always slow anyway so it would be great if he came over during your shift start...

Can he not text you the time he's coming so you can become available a few min before he gets there? I don't personally see anything wrong with waiting a few minutes - so he can see you are busy/in-demand. Anything over say 5-7 min for a really good regular may be pushing it and even leave him open for mega hustlers to poach him. But Hell, if he's expecting no wait at all for your time then he better make reservations lol! (and let you know in advance so you can reserve that time and go ahead of your other prospective customers)

I never have my cell on me during my shift, he emails me in the morning telling me when he's coming. I like the make reservations idea, lol.

If he tells you what time he's coming in, you should try to keep track of the time so he doesn't have to be kept waiting. You want your regulars to feel important (assuming he's spending a decent amount of money). Talk to other guys all you want, but when it's nearing the time he said he would be there, I'd wrap things up with the other customers. You could even tell other customers you have someone coming to see you soon, so they won't be offended when you leave them.

Sorry, I didn't mean talking, but when I'm already busy in booths or vip. When I'm finally available he's annoyed he had to wait an hour or more. Before he gets there I have to work the room so I may be busy when he gets there.

If you train him to come earlier ( if possible ), it'll really maximize the time!

I didn't mean just talking to other guys either, I meant talking to them to get a VIP, not just for fun. Lol. I think it's normal for him to be annoyed if he's waiting an hour or more and he told you ahead of time when he would be there. I guess your solution could be to manage your time better or get him to arrive at the beginning of your shift.

Yeah the only way he won't have to wait is if he gets there as soon as I start because I can't predict how long I will take with customers when I get them to go for dances before he gets there.

an hour IS quite awhile to wait..I guess you have to weigh whether the money he gives you is worth turning other guys down for. Regs can be tricky, and when customers come in at the same time you have to calculate which ones will be more worth your time

    I would email something like...
about what time will you be arriving? I can meet you in *xyz area of the club*

He needs to get there before the rush. Or if you're in the back with a guy and you know he's getting there at 8, you have to cut him off (unless u sold a block of time, then u have to finish it.)
