As a side note though, unless you're auditioning in an upscale club as a brand-new dancer (which most girls opt not to do, for many reasons, though there are advantages and disadvantages)....I would actually try to look somewhat like a newbie. If you show up with clear, 7-inch pleasers, a bodyzone thong, and a custom-made outfit, you aren't going to look new. Which sounds great from a confidence standpoint - and maybe that'd be worth it to you.
BUT...a lot of guys looooooooove clueless newbies. Especially if you're a happy, enthusiastic, bubbly clueless newbie (who looks super sexy, even in not-quite-professional clothes). So try to find a balance between clueless streetwalker (see: charlie's audition outfit in thread posted above) and professional exotic dancer. This will depend on the club in which you're auditioning. If it's a dive, consider buying a pair of supershort / ripped jean shorts + VS thong and wearing it with a VS bra and heels, for example.
My very first shift I wore my friends black heels, a black and silver bikini and fishnet thigh highs.
Ooh, I'm cringing as I type this ...a black bodycon dress, a black bra underneath (not sure what my logic was), a black lacy thong with sequins, and 5" clear Ellies. In retrospect, the dress was way too modest for stripping. I remember one of the bouncers telling me I looked like I was going on a dinner dateI think I was trying to look "classy". I started at a hole-in-the-wall titty bar so I could get away with wearing almost anything...
ah.. i was 19 but looked about 15 and i did an amateur night as my audition. wore a red and white polka dot bikini bathing suit with brand new clear pleasers that i could barely walk in. i danced awkwardly fast and tripped at one point but still won and banked cuz customers are creepy and love clueless noobs
Haha. Loving this somewhat cringe worthy (for me) thread. I had an ex-boyfriend sponsor my first ever stripper trip to NYC. I rocked a basic as fuck black string bikini set with clear Pleasers and tons of rhinestone jewelry. No makeup whatsoever and lets not even discuss my hair. But I banked with my awkward new girl vibe. I was on cloud nine for days thinking stripping was the easiest money ever. How little this baby stripper knew.😩
Adapt and Overcome.
