Dizzy Babydolls Dallas What Does This Mean?

I've been working at a few clubs in the DFW area for a while and wanted to give Babydolls a try.
So I go into Bds Dallas to apply, looking like I usually do to apply at a club: hair, nails, and makeup done, wearing my best cleavage-showing top and tight jeans with heels. A little about my look: I'm 5'5”, Caucasian, thin to average weight, blue eyes, light brown hair, natural C cups, attractiveness about an 8. I pull into a parking spot and try to calm my 'new club audition' anxiety, but within 10 seconds a random creeper is trying to hit on me through my closed car window so I just bite the bullet and head on in.

I go in and fill out an app, then a manager comes. He leads me to another room, looks at my app and seems happy with the other local clubs I've been at. Then he verified that I know how the whole Dallas fingerprinting process works, and asked if I have any tattoos or stretch marks (I have none of either). Everything seemed all good, and then he said they'll call me back in a week or two to come back in when some spots open up.

WTF? I know that in other states I've worked in, “we'll call you” is usually a brush-off. But this is a schedule club so I'm not sure if they sometimes do this when the schedule is full?

Does anyone know anything about this club and if they ever do this callback thing instead of hiring on the spot? And if they reject someone are they upfront about it or do they just say they'll call you and never do? Really bummed and confused, thank you for taking the time to read this and any input would be greatly appreciated...

    Hello,

I worked at Baby Dolls Dallas on and off from about 2008-2011 (and still have a handful of friends there today). What time did you go try to get hired? The first time I ever went to Baby Dolls they gave me the whole "we have too many girls" and it was around 7:00pm (shift change) on a Friday in 2007. I took this as a crushing blow to my ego at the time but after actually getting hired there the following year (no changes to my level of fitness, appearance, etc) I realized in hindsight that I had shown up at a particularly busy hour for management that day. There had seemed to be A LOT going on inside the day I first applied. With many clubs in Dallas and especially a very busy club like Baby Dolls, getting hired (since you sound like you fit the standard of "looks" well enough) has a lot more to do with how busy the managers are than it really has to do with you.

Don't take my word as the final say on that though, as things have really changed a lot since I last set foot inside the place. Despite being a "schedule club" (now, it wasn't back then) Baby Dolls is also the highest volume club in Dallas as far as number of customers and I can't imagine them having "too many girls" (I have worked nights where there were upwards of 175 on shift). Also, don't hold your breath waiting for that call. Pick a different time of day to go back and try again. I'm not sure which night of the week you went, but you'll have better luck trying on a slow night like a Sunday or Monday or Tuesday than you will on a busy weekend night. Once you're in the door, you just have to keep a good attitude with coworkers/managers (will get you VERY FAR, trust me!), stick to your schedule, and work your mandatory shifts and you should be able to work without many obstacles. After all, the more girls that are working means more money for the club (in house fees first of all, and potential bottle & champagne sales). If you are good looking, Baby Dolls wants you there to make them MONEY! It's far different than the tiny clubs in small cities that only run 10-15 girls MAX and have to limit the numbers in order to keep the girls making money & coming back. (Many cities in the Midwest do this and girls constantly have to be on the road touring from one place to another to keep their schedules full)

Don't give up & good luck!

I worked there also and kinda agree with the above poster. I tried towards the end of December and he said that I was gorgeous but they need to fire some girls and come back in the new year. I was like well I really want to work New Year's Eve and then he hired me, now I know that's because nye was stupid slow like 20 girls when there are usually 100.

Thank you so much for the responses! It really helps to hear your experiences and get a better perspective on the whole thing.
I probably did pick a bad time to go in, it wasn't the weekend but it was right near the shift change at 7pm. I'll have to try again at a better time.
I have to go out of town this week, so I guess I'll try again once I get back. I'll post an update afterwards...

I also used to work there and I've been in the office with the manager before when he was told there were girls in the front wanting to audition and he immediately said 'Want me to tell them no or do you wanna do it?' to the floor guy. I think they just have so many girls who already work there and so many who come in to try and get a job every week that they're not always trying to hire people. After I was hired I saw like 3 girls get fired the next few days so I think they're always trying to replace the less attractive girls with new better looking ones. So if I were you I would just go back in a week or two and maybe audition again because I highly doubt they'll actually call you back. I auditioned on a Thursday around 8pm I think, but maybe it'll be better to go in earlier and audition for day shift? Then you can stay the whole shift and the manager will see if he likes you enough for nightshift.

Oh and I first auditioned when I was just in town for a week and the guy I talked to said they would 'call me back' and they never did. So yes if they say that they are probably just not looking to hire you right then. I went back after I moved here and was hired on the spot.
