I have
I am also curious to know would the age and gender of the kids matter in whether or not to take them to Hooters?

She was 9 at the time I think maybe 8.

I don't see anything wrong with taking children to Hooters, but there are other places that are much better for children.
I use to work at wing house which is very similar to hooters. Lots of family's with younger kids came in. People would also celebrate their teen sons birthdays there, sort of like in the same way I guess adults take their friends out to the stripclub for their birthday.
Interesting.
I am wondering eagle, what do you mean by 'better'?
Also, It seems like for some reason its not that big of a deal for boys but what about girls? Like would you take teen girls there? What about say for example teen aged girls seeing hooters waitresses working while scantily clad given that these teen girls are going through puberty and are most likely body conscious? Like would it make them have a negative body image if they are just hitting puberty, maybe still in awkward transition into womanhood, but see these women flaunting their massive mammaries, thighs, and cakes? Would taking them to hooters make teen girls, seeing Hooters waitresses, want to dress in more skimpy or possibly even work there in the future?
I didn't know Hooters existed until I was in my early 20's. Im not sure if my family purposely hid Hooters from me or they themselves didn't quite know about the place.

Actually, I went to Hooters when I was like 11 years old and I just saw the Hooters girls like the Hawaiian Tropic girls. They seem pretty wholesome to meAs a pre-teen, I never seen Hawaiian Tropic girls nor Hooter waitresses as promoting a bad body image for me. Hooters is pretty wholesome overall. However, I would not take children from 0-6 in there. I believe taking children 7 and up is great

No, but my reasons are way more culinary than anything else.

The food is bad. I'm not going to eat that shit. If I had to take my child out, there's a place for them called Chuck E. Cheese, where they can have fun after eating.
Hooters is more for teenage boys and creepy dads.

Yes. This is what I was going to say, I took my nephew and his cousin when there were about 12 or 13- however, I would take the younger ones as well because I don't want them to think that a woman's body or sexuality is "taboo". However, at the same time I don't like how young girls are overly sexual-ized in today's society either; so I may talk to them about the girls outfits in an appropriate way of course.

I was thinking mostly about the food. The food selection isn't the best or healthiest. If you have teen daughters and you want to encourage them to dress modestly, Hooters waitresses might not be the best influence. If you don't think tank tops and shorts are a big deal, then it most likely wouldn't be a problem.

I don't think Hooters or any of the Hooters type restaurants are appropriate for families with school age kids.
I guess I have a double standard. My personal style around other adults is very provocative. I show lots of leg, ass, tummy and lots of tit. I like the attention I get and most of the time don't think anything of it. Around kids and families I dress much more conservatively because of I don't want that kind of attention . At the beach, it's the same, I purposely go to isolated parts of the beach for some privacy. But there is always some dad with his young sons who drive or walk out of their way to check out the bikini girls.

I like the Philly Cheese Steak, but the place is NOISY.

Quoted for being my exact thoughts on this subject. I would honestly be extremely uncomfortable bringing children to Hooters or any similar restaurants. I really just don't think it is appropriate. I guess I also kind of have a double standard with the conservative view points I have on certain things.

Totally fun! It's so innocent, I mean Instagram is worse these days. I'd be such a cheeky mom though that they'd probably expect this from me
Oh, HELLZ no.

I'd prefer starve rather than eating there.

My daughter is 11 and I've never taken her to Hooters. I don't like the implication of the name and I'm not fond of the attire young women and girls. I have enough trouble keeping my daughter wearing appropriate length skirts, dresses and shorts. I can't begin to tell you about the arguments we've had about what is, and is not appropriate to wear for a track meet. Not made any easier by some of the race gear worn by college women athletes. The key really being age appropriate. For me, a racing bra and boy shorts are fine to compete in. I've done 1000 sit ups a night for long enough that I've earned the right. But, under 18s, I'm not so good with the bare tummy competition gear.

I read that most of the items on their menu are off limits to the Hooters waitresses.
I've always felt it was really weird how Hooter's is an adult themed restaurant for families... bring the kids, bring the wife, stare at some tits and get your kid some french fries. Or you know, you could eat somewhere a little less awkward to be at with your family; tuck the kids in and hit up the strip club. Why beat around the bush. If you want to see tits go see tits, don't try and disguise it as you needing to feed your family lol. Just my opinion.
Oh and honestly if there were a restaurant called "Dick's" and themed the place around hot guys that highlighted their package I would love to go... but I would feel immensely awkward taking my kids along for the experience.
I second what everyone else is saying. The food really sucks. Forget the servers, the food is bad enough on its own.
