Okay Kia Souls are wayyyyyy too big LOL. Now I'm heavily considering a Smart Car. I need to do more research. Still wanting a Fiat but trying to talk myself out of it.

Anyone owned a Smart Car before?

Once I driven one from Lisbon to Biarritz (southern France). They are fun although not fast cars for the fuel-minded driver, it is very easy to park; I have heard maintenance is not that cheap, however, the boot may not suffice for anything larger than a purse and the other issue against it is that driving such a little car amidst SUVs is not for the faint-hearted.

Hey i'm car shopping and looking for something similar and ive been looking at buying from a car rental company. So far i really like what i see in hertz car sales. They have a lot of great 2014 subcompact and compact cars for less than 12000. Just something to think about in your car search. Im thinking of buying a mazda or hyundai from them.

Okay, I finally decided! I am going to get an old car and fix it up. It really can't be worse than the problems I've had with my Mini so I'm just going to go for it and get one of my vintage dream cars to fix it up. They aren't more than a new car anyway, so there's really no loss. And I uber so much already that if it does break down, it's not a big deal. I'm not sure which specific car I want but I'll figure it out based on what for sale near me.

I'm also looking into getting a Vespa because that's something else I've always wanted, but I don't think it will be safe to ride in my city despite guy friends / guys I date who ride motorcycles telling me to get one. So I may do both. Yay! I feel like this is right choice because if not now, when?

I just bought a 2014 Toyota Corolla and love it so far. Bought it from Hertz. Their main business isn't selling cars, so you get the car for close to wholesale, the cars are maintained extremely well, the salespeople's commission doesn't change based on the price of the car, so they don't have an incentive to steer you towards expensive options, the cars come with a 12k/12month ltd warranty...I'd buy from them again in a heartbeat.

Just mentioning it for others looking for cars.

Once you get it and fix it up, can you share some photos?

They're not safe. I know people who work in hospitals and I've heard some horror stories about people being brought in after motorcycle accidents. Also, someone I went to school with died in a motorcycle accident. What would be a minor accident for a car, could be death or serious injury on a motorcycle.
