Anyone have experience with showing their face? How is it different than keeping it hidden? Been thinking about doing it for awhile and now I have a shoot coming up.
I show my face. A big reason is that I'm super gorgeous, and my face and hair are probably my two best physical features. Although I think I could get clients with my plain ol' body and some mystery, when I was attempting to break into a new market at a high rate, it was helpful because people understood, right away, why I charge what I charge. If my face weren't my best feature by a huge margin, in my opinion, maybe I'd have kept it hidden.
However, when I was younger, I did hide my face. When I was escorting in college, unsure of my future career plans, I hid my face. Now that I'm thirty, I know that adult work is what I want to do, all the time. Once I was already a webcam model with pirated videos on pornhub, I figured the gap between the stigmas of web-whore and real-whore is not that big, and assholes who judge us for our work won't see much quantitative or qualitative difference. My mom knows about my camming and clip store, and I've hinted at tricks in the past, or sugar daddies, but I haven't been explicit with her. I'm not married, I have no kids. Other than issues related to stalkers, which can happen with any guy at any time, it's not going to ruin my life if people find out I do this work. They already kinda know.
EDIT: One thing that some girls do is wait until a guy has passed screening to send him a pic of her face. That way it's not out there for anyone to see, but it's something you'd be happy to do once you know he's not your boss or cousin or in-law or whatever.

I've shown my face mainly because I've done internet porn.
These days it is really a matter of comfort level. and also being able to handle the fact that your images will be on the internet as long as they are hosted on website servers.

I had some formal face pics that were originally on a social media site stolen & put on a page I had nothing to do with. One quick phone call got them taken down. I guess my point is, once your face is out there, whether it be an "innocent" pic or not...people can repost it. More explicit images might be harder to explain away in the future. It's a case by case basis judgement these days I think.
@E.S.Camgirl,Ph.D Thank you!! You pretty much summed up everything I was thinking. My face it one of my best features. I know what my future career plans are. All of my family know about my line of work. And I've done camming so there are already explicit videos of me on the web.

I domme and do not show my face and have no intention to. While domming is theoretically not illegal and can be argued as an art form or performing art, it just saves me the hassle. I wouldn't care if it got out since I cammed for a long time, but it's not something I advertise. Images get stolen allllll the time. I would definitely get more clients if I showed it though because I get compliments on it a lot.
I don't show my face at all. I'm considering showing bits and pieces of my face and just using props and make-up to cover my eyes...or at least disguise them

To get technical, once its on the Internet its pretty much impossible to remove. Every girl should realize this. An Internet presence is essentially permanent. So if you plan on upgrading to becoming a politician's wife or something eventually... might want to think twice.
I like to think that the best clients understand why a face is blurred and I find that because I''m always stressing "discretion" in my wording.. I've been attracting a higher end caliber of men who appreciate this
I also dom and one thing you need to be careful with is blackmail or pirated taboo play.
One of the top three requests I get the most is for racial play and it's not something I'm comfortable with. While I'm like not down with that at all, I'm glad they can find what they need at the end of the day from someone else but that Top needs to be aware that their face and racial slurs might get thrown on youtube someday.
Same goes for things like SPH but I'm glad to show my face because I want people to know I'm a bitch XD

Camming for the most part is about connection, it is hard to connect to another person when you can't look into their eyes.

Been online over a decade many many of my photos I thought would be online are not. Yes some of them are but majority of them are not. and I am not going into a career where I have to worry about some moral police trying to get me.
Internet business is awesomely forgiving about your past.

I'm guessing that alot more people than actual clients peruse escort ads. So you never know who could stumble across your face and recognize you. And you never know if your brother/father/next-door neighbour is a client and will stumble across your ad! I know of a handful of escorts who have shown their face and have been outed/found out by their families. I suppose you could claim you have a twin but if there are any other tell-tale signs, it'll be difficult to convince them.
I've considered showing my face in other cities/countries I tour in but then there's always the possibility the photos would get posted back in my home town on one of the forums. My assumption is that if you live/work in a city away from home then your risk of getting outed is substantially less.
If you don't care about the exposure, then it can definitely help bring in new clients.

Just no.Don't do it if you don't want family or friends finding out what you do.A few of my guy friends have found their cousins/aunts,etc online selling sanctuary and every last girl had their face in their photos.
If you don't care about anyone finding out go for it.
