    Default Weird Beauty Rituals

Does anyone have any weird beauty rituals? Or little tips or hacks? Here's what I like to do:

    - Take baths with crystals (gem elixirs) and essential oils. I was never a bath person until last year! Boy was I missing out. I cannot live without baths now, they're like the best thing you can do for your body
    - Use masks in the bath. I went to Daiso and bought a bunch which are really good, but I know are full of chemicals oh well. I like to make my own too, and homemade body scrubs too

    What are yours?

Castor oil on my brows and lashes. I also shave my entire face like once a month. I don't think either one is weird though.

I rub coconut oil on my body instead of lotion to get ultra smooth, soft skin. I also use it as shaving cream in the shower. It works and it smells so good!

What if I bathed in homemade tea? I've never tried that. Going to try it and report back!

This is only weird in the West, but I use products containing snail secretion on my face and they're the greatest thing I've done for my skin.

I have blond peach fuzz and have been wanting to shave my entire face but am afraid it will grow back course and dark. Have you ever had that happen?

Get the little ones they sell for eyebrows ( at CVS, ect. you can find them by the fake lashes and nails stuff usually) they're like a wand with a little blade at the end. You use it differently than a normal razor too, youtube has bunches of how tos.
If you use a reg razor from anything I've seen it will grow back thicker and darker, but this somehow doesn't. Honestly though I did it and thought there was a huge difference, asked my BF and he said he noticed nothing. So now I skip that as it does make a little more peach fuzz come up after a bunch of uses.
A good esthetician/waxing is probably your best best for long lasting results that will actually make less hair grow in the long run.

My friend does this all the time and that's never happened. I've never shaved my face myself but I have been dermaplaned(^^what she's talking about) a few times by a facialist, I didn't care for it though(mainly because it was hella expensive and I noticed no results from it).

I don't think I have any actual rituals but one weird beauty thing I do is when it rains I make sure to get my hair as wet as I can in it because then it will spiral curl once it dries. It's probably not great for hair color but it rarely rains here so whatevs.

Hair growing back thicker and darker is a myth, or an optical illusion at best. When you wax or pluck, you remove the hair at the root, meaning a new hair will need to grow from scratch. This brand new hair is tapered at the end, so it looks finer than if you were to shave, cutting the hair bluntly where it emerges from the skin. The hair itself isn't actually any thicker than it already was, nor is it coarser. It *does* have a blunt tip now, though, instead of a tapered one. That's what makes it slightly more visible when it starts growing back and what makes it feel slightly rougher -- it's essentially super thin stubble, just a bunch of tiny blunt cut hairs rising ever so slightly above your skin level, but not yet far enough that they can bend and go with the flow of your hand. If you let your "stubble" grow out, your peach fuzz will grow back to its normal length and your face will look exactly as it does now. Also, if your peach fuzz is blonde, your "stubble" will also be blonde, so even with the blunt tip, it'll still be pretty much invisible. Shaving doesn't change the color of your hair.

Shaving your face won't lead to you growing any more of a beard or a mustache than you already have. It won't make it any thinner, but it won't make it any thicker either. If your hair does eventually change, it's most likely because of something hormone related. In that case, you can help reduce the thickness and coarseness by repeatedly waxing and removing it at the root (or by taking the appropriate hormones to correct for the imbalance), but actually shaving your skin should have no effect on the composition of your hair.

That said, some people shave their face to help exfoliate and keep it clean and clear, and it works really well for giving them a glowing complexion. Other people have more sensitive skin, though, and shaving can lead to them having a red, irritated, angry looking mess. Some people are just fine shaving every day, others get the best results shaving every other day, and others find shaving once or twice a week is their happy medium. Some do it as a once every other month, occasional deep scrub kind of thing rather than incorporating it into their regular routine. Remember when you first started shaving, and your skin might've taken time to get used to a razor going over it, or you might've nicked yourself a couple times while you learned how to hold your razor while going over certain places. The same will be true if you decide to try shaving your face. It's a trial and error experience to get it right, and everyone's different.

No. this is urban myth, mostly because when thicker hair (like legs and pubes) grow back they are stubbly. It actually helps your skin slough off dead cells easier and makes exfoliation easier. I am constantly complimented on my skin. I think it it because it is clear and I have an even skin tone; although IMO I have large pores and oily skin... so I dunno, to each his own.

.. Didn't see Candycups response, I stopped mid type to give my dog some treats so I think we were writing at the same time.

I am going to try facial acupuncture for beauty in the coming months! I shouldn't mess with my face yet because Botox hasn't had time to settle.

Right...the weirdest thing I do for my face is rubbing my own urine on my face every morning for a week, once a month. Been doing it since I was 13, I`m 33 now and m face looks awesome. Don`t wash your face after (sounds gross, but that`s how it works, at least is your own piss). Also, don`t put on your face the morning pee (filled with toxins). Try the second. Overall, there are so many skin types and reactions to everything that I`m not guaranteeing that`s gonna work for you. But eh, you might as well try it.

I had a friend in highschool with a huge acne problem. People were calling her "pizza face". I taught her this and in two months she was skin perfect.

So yes, I rub piss on my face. Go on an laugh.

I massage my face with coconut oil and use steam from a boiling pot of rosemary water, then sit with a cold rag draped over for 15 minutes.
