Default Help with FAT (not muscular) legs

So, it has been a long time since I stripped. I'm in a situation where doing so might be beneficial once again. The problem is that my body has changed over the years that I've been inactive as a dancer and it's now not only heavier, but my legs in particular have gone to shit. I'm not so worried about the extra weight--I know how to get that off (basically calorie-conscious paleo and running), but I'm not confident that my huge ass legs (specifically the backs and insides of my thighs) will tone up like they need to. Cellulite is a BIG problem. I have poor circulation all over, so I already dry brush, drink lots of water, and try not to sit all day. I've been doing these things for over a year and they honestly haven't helped at all.

So, I guess my question is twofold:

    1) Is there any form of at-home exercise that could help with this? I don't have access to a gym at the moment, otherwise I would try heavy lifting. What I do have are a set of 10 lbs weights and a set of 15 lbs weights. And hey, I guess there's always my body weight too

    2) Are there any costume things I could do that would minimize my thighs (the cottage cheese effect and the size also) while I clean up my diet and attempt to tone up? The rest of me isn't too bad--thinner arms, stomach that will be flat within a couple weeks of serious dieting. I currently have a perky B cup. My prize-winning attribute is my ass, which looks great at both lower and higher weights. It's just these goddamn thighs, ugh...

Actually toning your legs will take a good few months of hard work at the gym. In the meantime you can run, squat and do lunges at home. While you can not get rid of cellulite overnight you can certainly mask it. Tanning (in a bed, yes I know it's bad) or outside and then applying self tanner over will help. Also, you can apply a topical lotion and see if you can get those "It Works" brand wraps online somewhere and wrap your thighs. This should temporarily minimize it.

^ What she said. Also, just wear super high thigh highs at work to hide it. Or if you can pull it off a body stocking. It sounds like you just need to lose weight and build some muscle to burn the fat so keep running and eating healthy. Until you go to the gym you can just do body weight exercises at home and with your small dumbbells. Squats, lunges, leg lifts, etc.

Thanks, I will definitely use self tanner (I don't use the beds anymore b/c of some worrying spots on my forehead) and will consider trying a body stocking and/or super thigh highs as I get back in shape

Oh, and Romanian dead lifts with the hand weights. I forgot about those. You can isolate just your hammy.

    1) The best at home exercises would be cardio/aerobics, squats, lunges, using weights/Dumbbells (great for toning), yoga/stretching, throwing kicks and punches (like you would in kickboxing, great for losing weight and getting toned), and even dancing to music!
    2) The BEST way to hide leg imperfections is by wearing black pantyhose or black fishnet stockings. It looks hot and it hides everything! Wearing black boots with them also looks hot and hides everything. And the spray tanning and self tanners work good too.

Agree with body stockings, I have a lot of cellulite and stockings completely mask it.

These are all great suggestions. I've never heard of Romanian dead lifts, will check that out now

Instant results... Seram wrap and hemmoroid cream.

Tyra does something similar *more costly but read the reviews... Its just seram wrap*

I'm a little late to this topic but I thought I would add that once you start working out again, your thighs might TEMPORARILY seem bigger at first, especially if you haven't worked out in a while. Don't panic!!! This happened to me, I have started working out again and paradoxically I looked temporarily bigger but am now starting to slim down again, especially in my arms and legs. This is because you will probably build muscle first and start losing the fat a little bit later. Don't be afraid to build up some muscle though, you might at first seem slightly bulky but it is temporary, and having more muscle will help burn more calories even while sedentary. Plus, cardio alone doesn't seem to reduce cellulite as much as squats, muscle building in addition to the cardio.

Yeah I got the chicken thigh thing going on but I know once I cut some fat it'll look better.
