Default Headaches on waking/during the night

I've found a few old threads on the same thing, but just wondered if there's anyone else with the same problem?

It's weird for me as they are specific to a place. The last 2 times I've stayed at my blokes (twice this week) it has been really bad, disorientating headache, I feel hungover. I crave junk food which seems to ease it, but I've just come home and slept the rest of the day. Noticeably often (I haven't been counting before that) I've woken up there with a milder headache as I've been asking him for painkillers.

I feel as though it's the air/temperature or something there. It's always too warm for my liking but even with the window open it doesn't seem to get much of a breeze. Interestingly read on the older posts it could be sleeping/head position ... However we've just started the gym, maybe my body is surprised by the effort (i've not done much for a while). I haven't stayed at my own place after the gym yet to test this.

Any ideas or similar exp? I'm not the sickly type, I hate this

Is it possible that he has mold? Maybe there's a lot of humidity in the air and mold which can't be seen. I've had similar mold related reactions in the past and a humidifier usually helped.

My guesses are- you might be forming polyps in your sinus if he has mold in his home (that includes pain that feels like dental pain though) My other guess is a blood pressure related issue. (Possibly triggered by working out more.)

Hope you get it sorted out, that can be depressing.

I wake up with a headache when.,..A. It's too hot in my room. ( I once lived where temps were over 110 degrees, and had a headache/ migraine every day.) I've since learned a lot about headaches.
    B. A cloudy day, or it's raining. Bariatric pressure I think that's called.
My roommate has the same type of headaches too.
800 milligrams of Ibuprofen (prescription) is the only medicine that makes them go away.
    Good luck.
Please report back and let us know how you're doing.

It could be the pressure and it could be that you are a bit dehydrated. I get migraines, especially when I don't drink enough water and they can last 3 days. Sometimes I'll wake up with one in the middle of the night. Ibuprofen works well if you catch it early enough. I hope he doesn't have mold. That sounds scary.

I wake up during the middle of the night sometimes and have no idea why. Someone told me it means a ghost was looking at you lol. Superstitions. I have no idea what the cause is though!

Think I've figured it out, it's just been way too hot. Whoever set the heating timer in the house thought it necessary for it to be on intermittently all through the night -_- I asked him to turn it off lately since it's not even particularly cold weather now and I've slept like a baby.

If it`s too hot when you are sleeping, besides waking up with a headache you will also have your nose/throat very dry when you wake up (90%) of the time and you will feel like blowing your nose. When you do so, you will get a bit of blood in the tissue. Not like a lot, but like dried blood. Then you will know for sure it was the heat.

Sounds to me you might have a sinus problem overall. Mold doesn`t give you headaches only, it gives a variety of other symptoms. That you will not necessarily experience only in the presence of said mold, but long exposure to it makes you "take the symptoms home with you".

Pressure chances also affect a lot of things, people experience them in a variety of ways.

My (medical, yes I`m a whore who went to med school...lol) opinion is: check your BP, your sinuses, your teeth (sinus problems can come from a bad tooth), your ears, and if all these are fine but you still get the headaches, MRI your pretty head

Also, do not mistake migraines with stress headaches. The stress ones ...well..self explanatory, manifest usually around the forehead area and ibuprofen almost always does the trick. Or maybe you`re just allergic to your bloke (jk).

    Hope this helps, hugs!
