Please don't ignore people that claim to be underage! I agree that there's no reason that a 17 year old is less equipped than an 18 year old to watch porn, but it's really a big risk. Most of the time, it's probably a grown up (or possibly a teenager) that just wants to get a reaction from you, in which case ignoring it might seem like a good idea. However, you have no idea if it's actually a kid, whose parents could catch him on the site and report the site for doing nothing when they knew a minor was using it. Or it could be a conservative anti-porn activist trying to carry out a sting on the site.
If your site realizes that you are failing to report people that claim to be minors, it may decide that you're a risky liability and fire you. If someone outside the site (kid's parent, activist, or even a troll that happens to be in your room) reports the incident to the press, the site's credit card processor, or, worse, the authorities, that's a huge problem for a lot of people. First off, the site will fire you and do everything in it's power to throw the legal responsibility onto you. If they fail to do that, the site could take a big hit from bad press, sudden inability to process credit cards, and/or legal problems. Not only would that be rough for you, but it could potentially affect all the other models that earn a living on your site. <- These outcomes are unlikely, but not unrealistic.
Just to be clear, I'm not trying to attack you, and personally, I'm in favor of kids being exposed to age-appropriate sexual concepts and exploring their sexuality as they desire. It's just that we are on the professional side of this issue, so regardless of how we feel personally about teens in our rooms, we are held to higher standards. Someone may believe in the 3 second rule and that a little dirt is good for you, but if they're a chef, those personal beliefs are meaningless at work. It's the same thing for us.
