    Dizzy Body check?

So, I was scheduled for an audition Thursday. I had a routine in mind. Purchased my audition outfit and shoes. But the club just contacted me and told me I won't be "auditioning" I'll be just coming in to do a "body check." Is this a good thing or a bad thing? What does this even mean? I'm losing interest in this club because of this.

There's almost as many different hiring processes as there are clubs tbh

What they probably mean is they won't have a traditional audition where you go in, dance on stage etc. You'll just go in and they'll make sure you fit whatever standards their club has. Honestly this kinda thing is pretty common because whether you can dance or not completely doesn't matter and can be learned as you go. They just want to make sure you fit the look they hire at their club.

I'm hoping that's all it is and not them trying to waste my time just to see me naked. My fingers are crossed. It's comforting to know that this is normal though. I always thought a traditional audition was all there was. This is good to know.

I've had this before. I would rather audition but its easier. Just look you over and you're in..or out lol. Not a big deal.

most places i've been to just do this.. even in vegas, they just kind of check out your body and say yes or no. only once have i ever had to do an actual audition on stage. it's not a bad thing at all and they're most likely not being creepy.

Like mentioned above they basically just want you to put on your stripper outfit so they can look you up or down and say yes or no. I prefer the stage auditions because everyone looks better in the black lights on the main floor than in the bright dressing room where they can see every flaw on your body. I noticed a lot more clubs did stage auditions when I first started dancing in 2011-12 but now I'm encountering more put your outfit on and twirl thing.

I'm realizing they do this to make sure they like your body and your look more so than picking away at your flaws and trying to be perverted. The only auditions I REALLY hate are when they take your picture *shudders*

You don't have to be naked, I've done these in underwear or a stripper outfit depending on what I had with me. It's basically so they can check that you're not overweight (some people are really good at dressing to look thinner).
