    Default St. Patrick's Day

    Will you be working?

Do you remember if it's a good day / night to work or not?

I can imagine the club will be busy, but potentially filled with drinkers who aren't spending. Or, it could be a great stage night (not my thing) with no one buying dances. Oorrrrr, it could be an all-around great night. I wasn't planning on working, but now I'm wondering if I should.

Do you think the holiday will affect Fri / Sat shifts (slow because people partied the night before)?

I'll be working this year. I didn't last year because I didn't want to deal with drunk idiots trying to pinch me. This year I'm at a nicer club, though, so I'm hoping that won't be as much of a concern.

My club had a St. Patrick's Day themed party on Tuesday, and the money was pretty good for me. It looked slow, but the money was consistently coming in. It was the most money I'd ever left with, short of getting lucky with a single customer who spends like it's nothing and single handedly doubles or triples my money. Normally VIP party days are slow at this club, so I'm hoping tomorrow will follow in Tuesday's footsteps. If it doesn't, eh. I'll leave with more money than I had when I came in, if nothing else. I'd just be lounging around, surfing the web all day if I stayed home, so I might as well go somewhere and get paid at least a little bit of money to do pretty much the exact same thing.

In my experience they were not good nights financially. Too many competing bars full of people

I'm skipping. Never had a lucrative shift that day/night. Bunch of cheap wooohooo drunks.

Skipping it. I've worked a few of them over the years and they weren't anything special. Seems like the night starts slow (prob bc people are at parties) and then late night groups roll in obnoxiously drunk and not spending nearly enough for the level of annoyance they cause.

I don't see it taking a big hit to the rest of the weekend.

Reporting back -- the day shift was ***dead*** slow, but, like the Tuesday party, the money was consistently coming in from the few guys that did show up. I made a smidge more than I did on Tuesday, again, all without "getting lucky" and making all my money off "that one guy".

Tuesday and Thursday both fell into my definition of a really good night, which usually only happens if I get lucky with a customer and they single handedly give me most of my take home. Making that much money from a bunch of different wallets doesn't happen that often for me at this club, but it's happened twice in one week for St. Patrick's Day themed events. All in all, really happy I went in. Plus, maybe because it was day shift, no one got drunk enough to decide pinching anyone was a good idea. Good day.

The money was good and mostly stage tips, but... Everybody got REALLY wasted and multiple fights broke out or were narrowly prevented. I was on stage every time. I fucking hate that.

I did very good! 10-4 but my club was packed since 1pm and I overheard a day girl say she did very well - over a g from 11-8. Oddly enough we weren't inundated by the typical st. patty's day crowd!

I kinda thought this wd be the case, cause really, it was more or less officially celebrated the weekend before!

I didn't see a major difference from the usual. I wore my green thong and everything but most guys didn't even realize it was St Patty's.

Honestly it sucked at my club. I only made $100 when I usually make at least $500.

Dallas apparently celebrated St. Patrick's Day on Saturday this year. They had the parade for it then and there were apparently a lot of bars offering extended St. Patrick's Day deals for the occasion. So Saturday was another mini version of the holiday for me -- this one actually had guys stumbling in already drunk, everyone decked out in green, foam hats, beads... And once again, the night went pretty well. I have no idea if this is the norm here, but if it is, sweet. If I'm in the area next year I'll definitely be working this day/week again. Fwiw, incase someone in Dallas does a search next year, they apparently usually have the parade the Saturday before St. Patrick's day, so this year was a fluke as far as that scheduling is concerned.

It was like a St. Patrick's Day themed Mardi Gras. I dunno about high, but they were definitely very, very drunk. Some of them got kicked out before/as soon as they sat down. Someone started handing out plushy stickers around the club, so 3/4 through my shift, a good chunk of of the club, custies or otherwise, had leprechauns and clovers on their faces, hands, hats... It was the most party like I've ever seen this particular club get. Definitely not the typical clientele. But they paid well, so by all means. Irish Mardi Gras? If it gets the money flowing, by all means, sign me up. I would've expected it to occur on the *actual holiday,* but a late party is still a party.
