    Default Buying Shoes Online

    Hey ladies!

I won't bore you with the nitty gritty details of my life; but let's just say that I'll be leaving my current job so that I can return to college and finish my degree. Them bills gotta get paid somehow! And really I think this will be fun. I've been stalking this site for a few weeks and visited the club I think I'll be auditioning at a few nights ago.

That being said I've got a month (or longer if I need it) to familiarize myself with the pole (taking an intro type class next week), drop a little more fat (I'm thin but want those custys to see abs in club lighting), and get used to walking in heels!

Now my question: What are the best places online to purchase stripper shoes? Would you recommend a certain style for beginners or even a specific shoe? I checked search but couldn't find much. I'm on mobile so I may have just missed it.

Please forgive me if I just missed it.

    Thanks! ❤️

Congrats on taking the first steps !

I followed the advice of many dancers on here and got myself a pair of Pleasers for my first pair of stripper shoes. They were 6 inches and had an ankle strap. Ankle straps were crucial for me at the start! I chose clear ones because they went with everything, which is something I would recommend.

When I started dancing, I jumped right into it and work 5-6 days a week. These shoes lasted me for 3-4 months and then I moved on to a new, higher pair

I don't know where you live but if you have the chance to go to a store that sells stripper shoes to try a pair on, I would suggest you do. I had to go down a size in stripper shoes. But there's loads of websites online that sell shoes for cheap.

I think there's a few shoe related threads on here where dancers give their own recommendations. Just use the search function at the top right side of the page.

This is the pair that I had :

I second Layla. Pleasers are great shoes and generally get a 10/10 in the comfort department. Ankle straps will do wonders at helping you keep stable while you get the hang of them.

Thank you so much, to both of you! Already this forum has been BEYOND helpful!

I live in the middle of nowhere but would be working in Pittsburgh. What shops carry shoes? I would love to try them on before ordering online (if it can save me some money). I tried to google but I couldn't find any specifics. Do adult stores like Adam and Eve carry them? I'm sorry, I must live in a cave. Lol!

Yeah, most (not all, but the odds are good) adult stores will have something there. If it's a sex shop that sells costumes, your odds are exceptionally good they'll have them. Castles Megastore tends to have a pretty solid variety of styles they keep in stock. If all else fails, platform heels are (or at least were) pretty popular in the mainstream as of a few years ago, so at least as of then, you could walk through a shopping mall and find 5 or 6 inch heels, typically in stores aimed towards a teenage audience. These typically aren't as comfortable as stripper shoes, though, and will probably require more time and work to break in before you feel comfortable dancing in them for a full shift.

The bonus of going into an adult store is you can make one shopping trip to get both your shoes and an outfit or two to start out with, assuming you don't have something of your own already.

I'm not from Pittsburgh but in Canada a lot of adult stores will carry a few pairs of shoes but might not have a huge variety. You can always call and ask. You can also try to find a similar shoe in the Pleaser brand and see how they fit and then make your order. Just FYI, the plastic clear top ones have a different grip on your foot and fit differently than the patent ones, so try to try on both types and see what works for you.

Most of the time shoes online are cheaper but depends on shipping costs and all that.

Fetish stores will likely have some for you to try on. Pole dancing studios might also carry them. I got my first pair at a random asian store that sold wigs, stripper wear and shoes.

Here's places I found that says they carry shoes and outfits:

I used to get only Pleasers, but Karo shoes lasts foreverrrrrr. They're somewhat pricey, but they last and they have a lot of unique looks. Google them.
