A very good friend of mine introduced me to her stripper friend. A few nights ago I checked out the club and met her and a few of the other girls that work there. The club checked out okay In reviews left here; and security and staff checked out in my book.
I would feel comfortable working there.
I learned that the girl who would be showing me the ropes; the "stripper friend" I was introduced to is a pretty big extra girl. Granted I don't approve because it's entirely illegal (it is her body and her choice), I'm concerned with being labeled as such by association.
basically I'm a bit nervous about that. I met another girl she trained, she just turned 21. She doesn't do as many extra bits but is headed in that direction. It makes me sad. BUT I know I'm not going there to make friends; I'm going there to make money.
I know it's a lot to ask, but please help me ease my mind. I already know the things I will/won't do. But I don't want to get caught up in a whirlwind of nonsense as a newbie dancer. I don't want to be written off as an extras girl. It could mean legal trouble for me later and even conflict with management (from what I gather here), and I don't want to deal with that. What are the chances of that happening if I associate with them?
Also: I know I'm probably making a big deal out of nothing; but this is a big change for me and the industry is completely alien. I just want to cover my bases. And I'm incredibly grateful for this forum. I have NO ONE to talk to about any of this stuff.
