Default Do strip clubs typically offer lodging arrangements

I did some research on the club I wanna work at. In the employment section it said that if you met their qualifications they would pay for your flight AND living arrangements... is this typical of strip clubs? Or is it a scam

I've heard of clubs that do this before. Most of the clubs that cover things like airfare are on the islands/somewhere most girls they're looking for would need to fly to. There are some agencies out there that will cover travel and living expenses AND pay the girls a daily wage in addition to whatever they make from the club that night, but the downside is these things typically have pretty high expectations when it comes to your work schedule. Some want you to work 6 days a week, some have 5-8 hour shift minimums... one of them had a 10 shift or something intense like that. I've only seen those requirements with agencies, though, not stand alone clubs, but I would be surprised if the clubs didn't have a minimum requirement, too. They probably won't want to invest so much money into bringing you there just for you to work one three hour shift a week. Fwiw, those contracts also have a set number of weeks. So, "We'll cover the cost of travel, give you free housing, and pay you $X/day, but you dance X number of days a week, X hours a shift, for X number of weeks total." And then after so many weeks, they pay you and cover your cost of travel back, or if you want to renew for another set of however many weeks, you can do that. IIRC, you need to pay for your travel to the place initially, but upon fulfillment of your contract, they reimburse you up to a certain amount and then cover the cost of your return trip. Basically, the only thing you typically get upfront from them is a place to live/transportation to the club. Maybe sometimes a small lump sum of cash/weekly/monthly payments of whatever they're paying you a day. I'd definitely suggest googling it a bit more and see what information you can turn up on this specific one. Maybe call them, if all else fails. If it is legit, you might have to compete with extras on the island, and odds are good you'll be working some really crazy intense hours/shifts. The time you have off will probably be spent sleeping/relaxing more than being a tourist. If you feel up to it, though, it doesn't sound like it's a bad deal, financially. One plus side of these contract (again, typically) making you work so much -- you don't have a lot of time to actually spend your money.

That said, I haven't seen anything like that recently from the agency side, but I did find a couple clubs in the middle of nowhere in Wyoming that had similar deals. Free lodging, $1 house fees, and a free buffet if you would just come in and work. Not nearly as glamorous, but even in the middle of nowhere in the states, it's still a thing clubs do. The vast majority of clubs on the mainland don't offer anything like this, but it's definitely not unheard of when you find one that does. All the same, I'd definitely look into it a bit more and see what kind of dirt I can dig up on this place before I sign up for anything.

it exists. i've done it. just be careful and do your research beforehand. be safe. make sure you can afford to get yourself back home right away in case you need to. i've stayed in an apartment owned by the club with other traveling girls, as well as had a club pay for my hotel. i know some reimburse for flights too. like i said, just make sure to really do your research on the place.. some clubs do this because they're desperate for girls and the reason for that is because it's a shitty/dirty club in a bad area. some are legit though!

also where did you find this info? i'd actually like to look into it myself

If it's too good to be true... plus for "no experience" girls? idk. Sounds like a great way to get naive girls "indebt" forever.

Anachronism --Looks like it's this club here. Their home page is broken (all of the header links go to some sugar baby website) but here's the direct link to the page OP's citing:

i don't think it's too good to be true. i looked up the club on tuscl and the reviews said that the girls there were half islanders and half "girls from the states who were flown in". it's around the corner from a touristy beach-themed bar that looks cool and doesn't seem like it would be a bad area? dances are $30 VIP or $15 normal. the page says it's a bikini club but customers describe both topless and fully nude dances with medium to high contact. i would want to talk to a manager obviously, but assuming they sound professional and can tell you where the accomodations are.. i'd say go for it, if you're ok with working at a high contact place. it doesn't sound like a brothel or anything. the only thing that sketches me out is that the last review was 2013 but that's not that weird. like i said just be careful and have an exit strategy

Lots of clubs do offer accommodation. A lot of clubs here in Europe offer them and I've stayed at a couple of dancers houses in Canada as well. A lot of the Canadian clubs were in old hotel style buildings and they had rooms upstairs or sometimes the club would have a dancers house close by.

The housing can vary from super nice to horrible, so it would be good to figure out what exactly are they offering. Is there a kitchen, wifi, laundry, how close is it to the club, do they offer transportation to and from work, do you have to share a room, how many washrooms are there etc.

I've never had problems but I've heard some horror stories.

That being said, usually when clubs are willing to pay airfare and accommodation, there's a reason. I think this used to be more common in the past but these days it's more of an incentive to get girls to come and work at clubs that are super slow and have a hard time retaining dancers.

You should do some research on working on the Virgin Islands. I have never been there or know anyone who has worked there but I feel like I've stumbled across some reviews here on SW that weren't too positive.

Have you danced before? I wouldn't recommend traveling so far if you're not an experienced dancer, even though the club says they are friendly to newbies.

I've done something similar for a different location, but here is some other stuff to keep in mind:

    - a lot of times you share an apartment with other girls that have been hired by the club, and you don't get a say in who you stay with and they usually don't accommodate you making changes.

    - check to see if prostitution is legal in that area. I know some clubs do that thing where, you can choose to be a girl available to be taken out of the club etc. - but make sure the management doesn't make this a requirement in your contract

    - In my experience it isn't because the club is in a bad place or is a bad club, its usually a resort destination that caters to westerners (white people) so they want to hire conventionally attractive girls (white people). OR its a club located in another country but very close to some sort of military base (the situation in Guam and in Japan kind of) so most of your customers are military - which I wouldn't recommend working.

    - and exactly what candycups said. The scheduling is very strict, and they do not make arrangements. If you break your scheduling contract, a lot of times they won't fire you, but then they won't reimburse you travel etc. So be prepared for that and have a backup plan
