I am addressing current, former, and prospective adult webcam broadcasters/performers......all comments, suggestions, and questions are welcome. thank you.
THE STIGMA: I am aware of the VERY negative stigma surrounding studios, and especially virtual studios. It seems that there are a lot of shady businesses out there posing as "real" studios, with business models built on the deception and exploitation of their models via numerous methods. Damn them for doing so.... Also, does anyone know of any legit and/or fair virtual studios out there now? I thought I found a few, but the revenue distribution % was not made public. As for the virtual studios that provided % revenue sharing numbers publicly, they were horribly low and unfair to models. In my research, I see no business costs substantial enough to justify such atrocious model payment percentages.
MY PLAN: Recently I've become interested in starting a virtual adult webcam studio, with a focus on fairness and mutual benefit with models. It would essentially be an Internet Marketing & Branding company (and other support), exclusively serving the adult webcam industry. The revenue sharing % would be very competitive. I don't know yet what exactly it'd be, but my estimates put the % of revenue share I'd offer above nearly all virtual studios that I've looked at. The studios that were higher than my estimates appear to offer significantly inferior services, or none at all (deception, as mentioned above). Models would operate through already high traffic webcam websites, since this helps to provide stability and a higher earnings ceiling.
SERVICES: The services provided would be: growing a follower base (social media, email, website, etc.), driving internet traffic both when online and offline, technical support, strategy support, sending monthly analytical reports to models (showing exactly how many times I sent traffic to her/his page during the month), etc...basically everything I could legally do to help. These are the sorts of things a business might expect if contracting a Marketing service...I see no reason that it shouldn't apply to adult webcam modeling. Also, the number of models contracted would have to be capped to ensure quality service...I do NOT want to reduce models to a number on paper...this always results in reduced service quality and contractor sentiment. Work would be done EVERY SINGLE DAY on my end, including weekends, to market and brand for each model. This includes investing time and money each day to promote the model(s).
HOW IT WORKS: Contracted models would pick their own hours, and inform me of when they'd like to work. From there my business would handle the rest. Although, if it turns out many models would like to remain more hands-on, then that can be arranged too. The services my business would provide allows models to save a lot of time, effort, and investment money, while benefiting more (more $/hr worked) by letting tech savvy professionals do the marketing and branding. Also, each model would receive a unique company email and access to a cloud based storage and network system in order to make communication and any file transfers efficient and easy.
SO MY QUESTIONS ARE ESSENTIALLY:
-WOULD A VIRTUAL STUDIO LIKE THIS BE APPEALING TO WEBCAM MODELS? -WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT IT? -WHAT DON'T YOU LIKE ABOUT IT? -ARE THERE ANY SUGGESTIONS?
*My goal is to optimize the business model before launching...please let me know what you think.
*If you would be interested in being part of this company...model or otherwise, then please contact me.
*I'm considering working with a "flagship" model to get the bugs worked out first (I don't expect many)...for this I may offer a very high lifetime % revenue share...like 90% or something (don't quote me on that...there's numbers I'd have to look at).
Thank you
