Default 30 Days Of Frozen Meals In 1 Day

So I want to start mass cooking and then freezing the meals, but I need meal ideas. I want to spend 1 whole day per month cooking and packaging everything for around 30 days of meals. 1-2 frozen meals per day. I'm on the go a lot but I'm always always eating dinner at home. I'd like the focus to be on nutrient density and health.

Does anyone have any easy vegetarian or pescatarian meal websites, resources, or recipes to share?

I like emeals for recipes. They give you a weekly meal plan with all the ingredients you need (and the cost based on the grocery store you prefer). They also have different types of meal plans (ex low fat, paleo, kid friendly, etc) So after 4-5 weeks you'd have enough recipes to cook enough meals for one month.

i have been thinking about that too. i'm hypoglemic. I need to be sure i got my food every 3 hours.
you can make salad in mason jar. look on pinterest.
i also love broth bowl, i ate it in Panera bread very easy to make. https://www.panerabread.com/en-us/me...oth-bowls.html
    i get a broth from store http://www.pacificfoods.com/food/broths-stocks.aspx
just put a broth and add whatever you want mushrooms, soba noodles, leak, organic soy sause, miso, i make little dumplings and you can freeze them for sure they last long.
i also like stuffed peppers. they also can last for a while.
i got an extra freezer, so i can buy in bulk meat, and freeze berries when i pick them on farms.

I'm going to make a list of like 20 different meals and then gather supplies. It should take about 8 hours to make everything tops.

My focus is on nutrient dense foods. I've learned to start liking black beans and mushrooms when I did not like those before. Now I'm lowkey obsessed.

Yeah I'm doing baggies and for refrigerated items I'm going glass Tupperware.

I just went grocery shopping with my friend who grew up on beans and she told me I'm not allowed to buy the dry ones in a bag because the canned ones are the same thing. I told her I wanted to prepare them from start to finish and she insisted that no one does that. I read the can ingredients and it doesn't say there's any preservatives at all. I'm so confused.

Yeah plastic isn't ideal but how else can you store semi-liquid items in the freezer? Most of my items, because I'm making so many at once, will end up in the freezer until I'm ready to eat them.

lol your friend does not know anything. Beans must be soaked!grains must be soaked too. They have phytic acid, which get attached to vits and minerals and does not allow us to digest food properly. I dont want to eat beans from cans cuz i dont want food which was made on factory at my home. You have to soak beans to softed them. on factory they just cook them to death thats it, all fiber killed, vits too. People were eating beans like forever, before even cans were invented. All traditions are soaking them. Actually canned beans cause me digestion problems, i get bloated
You can store liquid foods in mason jars and close it with a plastic lid, or they sell silicon bags on amazon which are re usable, silicon lids too.
here is why you have to soak beans http://www.thehealthyhomeeconomist.c...ak-your-beans/

I have most of that type of stuff above already but how should I store semi-liquid freezer items? Any time I've put glass in the freezer, it cracks. I don't want to use silicone either Bc it does similar things to plastic.

Silicon is fine for freezing. Plastic lid (bpa free)is also fine it will not contact your food like that. Jars cracks sometimes because they are old, or because of metal lid.
I actually have jars in my freezer for a half of year they are fine.
I have meat balls in a pirex dish in the freezer and pirex came with a lid and meat balls does not even touch lid of the dish
let us know how all that 30 days prep meals going!sounds really good to me.
i actually have crates this year where i grow tomato, herbs etc.

The issue in plastic containers was BPA. Tupperware stopped using BPA in 2010 and Ziploc doesn't use it anymore either. As a practical matter, it's really hard to store that much food without using plastic, especially when you want to be able to take small single serve containers directly from the freezer and put them straight in the microwave. Also, the less air the better inside each container, so using a lot of smaller containers for single serve meals is preferable to using big containers, especially if you are freezing a whole month ahead. We also buy a lot of meat in bulk and freeze it and I can't think of a good answer other than Ziploc bags since the air needs to be squeezed out before freezing to prevent freezer burn.

Now we don't cook all of our meals for an entire month, but when we make things like chicken soup, chili, meatballs in sauce, other soups, etc., we cook in bulk and freeze the leftovers for days when our backs are against the wall and we need quick options. But even doing this much results in a lot of containers since we are a family of 5. Thank goodness for our standalone freezer chest. But I also don't know what we would do if we couldn't use Tupperware containers.

Using hard things like glass makes me think the items inside will spoil because of the open air space, whereas with something floppy like a bag, I can make sure there's no air. I feel like the food would grow the ice crystal mold stuff and spoil the food.
