    Default High hip bones

After wondering why I look fat at 123lbs and a 27" waist I've realised recently that I have high hip bones (hip bone is parallel to my belly button), and what they call a 'spoon' or 'figure 8' body shape. Problem is, it makes my midsection look fatter than it is and is not very flattering. Wondering if anyone else here has high hip bones and what sort of lingerie and outfits you wear in the club to flatter that shape.

I do! They aren't quite up to my belly-button, but I have slender long(tall) hips for sure. It doesn't make me look fat, but I also don't see much waist definition. I like wearing waist cinchers, or short skirts with a little bit of ruffle to give the illusion of wider hips. Any bottoms that have tie sides, ruffles, or things that stick out to the side a bit help. I also like bras that have some padding, to make my waist look smaller in comparison (but I have small-ish 32C breasts). I also try to do squats and lunges to build up my butt and hip muscles, to fill them out a bit. Hope this helps!

I have these but I also have a waist that indents a lot very abruptly. It's hourglass but not in an elongated way if that makes sense. I ended up with a random assortment of genes lol. There's not much you can do about it aside from surgery. For me I can only wear tight clothing or else I look much bigger than I am.

I have this, classic pituitary body type.. it makes me look very straight up and down and I struggle w the dreaded "inner tube" thing even at a fit healthy weight.I do half corsets and thicker garter belts, and often I'll just pull down my top/mini dress over my lower stomach on stage and that hides and cinches it in a pinch. You can also play w color blocking to make an hourglass,,white expands and black shrinks. I do contour w my self tanner a bit as well.

I have high hip bones but a slightly smaller waist so it doesn't look drastic I'm 5'7 and 125 with a 25' waist I hate them they ruin my figure in combination with my side dents. High waist bottoms look nice and disguise our hip bones though, corsets and maybe fun waist beads to draw attention to the beads and your movement.

Have you tried waist training ?

Waist training could work but it would get in the way of so many of my weekly activities (bellydancing, flexibility training .etc) that it might not be worth it. My best bet might be just to lose 5lbs or so so my 'hip fat' decreases a bit and my midsection looks a little less wide.

I have them and even though they make my midsection look less defined, I love them. The higher your hips, the longer your legs!
Every body shape has pros and cons. I say get a waist trainer or just try to dry more focus on your legs or other body part.

I have high hip bones as well. If your waist doesn't indent too much, try wearing lower cut bottoms...I like stripper t-back g-strings a lot. Also, any panties that have ruffles on them that extend at the sides, or wear a corset. You can also do a variety of exercises to increase the muscle in the area below your hip bones, mostly side lunges and wide squats. Though muscle building can take some time, it's worth it. I've balanced out my figure more than I ever thought I could doing some lifting.
