Default Halo / Hidden crown extensions

Does anyone have the halo hair extensions (hidden crown) and if so what are your thoughts? Does the hair look natural and is it easy to maintain and style? I haven't seen one in person but it looks easy. Plus it would be nice to have something not damage my hair while trying to grow it out.

bumping. my hair got even more damaged from using clip ins and this is arguably the least damaging brand. I only wear extensions at work and I am SO SCARED that thing will fall off while I am on stage lmao.

I've seen those and they scare me ...they seem like they could fall out so easily even if you pin them really well

me too! I guess they are good for civilian life, but I could care less what my hair looks like outside the club. I am still tempted to try them, but they are a little pricey to just try out.

i have some, they look really good and aren't damaging at all. but if you do a lot of pole tricks i wouldn't suggest it because yeah they do move around easily. i imagine it would come off if you did any sort of upside-down move but idk i've never had any probs since my stage sets are all floorwork and basic moves.

the only time anyone has noticed is guys who go to touch my hair during a dance, and they ask if i have a wig on. i bought a $300 one from a salon in vegas that looked great but another one i ordered online for only $100 looks equally nice after taking it to my salon to have the colors matched. just make sure you get human hair

guys here are really rough. i've literally had random bypasses tug my hair and during dan yes they always try to pull. i'm still tempted cause of the fact it's supposed to be non damaging. some girl on youtube said it gives her a headache. have you experienced that?

yeah cuz the thing that keeps it on basically looks and feels like fishing wire, so it's clear/not noticeable and the tighter it is the better it stays on. they're usually adjustable. i liked my tape-ins way better but they were killing my already damaged hair so i'm trying to take a break from anything that's permanently attached

My 16-inch Hidden Crown came today. The hair is gorgeous but the color wasn't a match. I did the thing where you email their "color expert" a picture of your hair, but the color they suggested I buy was WAY off (red, when my hair is more beige-blonde). I ended up picking a different color, which didn't match, either. Luckily, they include two other hair samples--one darker and one lighter--and the darker one seems to match well.

So I'm starting the returns process now. This is a hassle, but I do think the extensions will look great when I finally get the right color.

Update on my Hidden Crown journey (it feels fair to call it that): I've tried two different colors of the extensions and neither was a match. Dealing with the returns team is fast and easy. They respond to emails usually within a couple hours. I have admitted defeat and now I'm going to follow the guidance of their "color expert" and order #28, which is for redheads, even though I dpn't think I'm really that red. But apparently I suck at eyeballing the selections and matching my hair based on the internet alone.

Exchanges take a while to process (I sent in a Halo Crown for exchange on Nov. 3 and still haven't gotten the item I exchanged it for--they say it can take up to a week to process the return). It seems like it's easier to send a set in for return, then order a new set, which takes two days to arrive. You also have to pay for shipping each way, which $10 when you order and around $7 to return.

Fingers crossed the next extensions work!

OK, one last Hidden Crown update. I bought the Daydream during their cyber monday sale in color #28 and took it for a test drive today. Here are my thoughts.

*It's so comfortable! Feels kind of like a headband, and the hair is super soft and almost...cozy? Like having a blanket in my head. I really like wearing it! It looks natural and the wire is easy to hide, even with bangs.

*The color is not a perfect match for me, but that's because I have a balayage going on. The extensions match at the roots, but not at the ends. Because my ends are lighter, there's a pretty clear demarcation where my hair ends and the extensions begin. I tried getting a hidden crown in a color that matched my ends, but that was even less harmonious looking. If your hair is reddish or strawberry blonde, a match is more difficult. I think this system is great for blondes or brunettes. I may be able to disguise the line of demarcation with styling, though.

*I think I'll take the extensions to my stylist and see if she can do a custom color next time I get balayaged.

*I tried both the Hidden Crown and the Daydream (which is cheaper and has less hair and tapered ends). The Daydream still has a LOT of hair. I'm glad I went this route.

*OK, I just curled my hair and the extensions and NOW THEY LOOK AMAZING.
