    Default Auditioning in Atlanta

Hi, I'm a 20 year old black female I'm thick but not fat nor am I the skinniest. I called Peaches of Atlanta to see if they were hiring and the guy said yes come Mon-Fri 1-5pm. But I don't know what to wear to go check it out and I'm not sure if they will want me to audition on-site. I also called Onyx and he said come Monday between 1-5 for an audition. When I asked what to wear he responded kinda nonchalant and said and outfit then he asked if I had ever danced before I told him no so then he said well go to like a lingerie shop and find an outfit. I do not know what kind of outfit is good or bad. Can someone who has been in this situation help or have worked at one of these clubs. Tahnks

Are those urban clubs (mainly black dancers & clientele) or mixed club?

If it's urban & don't have any dancer fits, you can order online or if you can't afford clothing yet a thong & a crop top could due for now.
Far as what to wear showing up to audition just dress, smell,& overall nice. Makeup done or whatever.

Mixed clubs audition: something you would wear in the bedroom or even a costume would work. And showing up is the same. Good luck!

Whelp, I am finally taking the plunge after 6 months of deliberation about dancing. Just made a round of phone calls to various clubs of interest and so far Cheetah, Tattletales and Mardi Gras state that they are hiring. Headed to Tattletales first to see how things go and what their process is. Nervous? Heck yes as I haven't worked as a dancer in ages. Excited too because I have been voraciously reading the forums here and I feel at least somewhat eduated (like 20%) rather than walking in totally blind to how things go in 2016. I'll post and update as to how things went.

Most clubs here in ATL don't require a long audition like you're thinking. I've "auditioned" at 6 clubs and it's just a body check with the manager or house mom. Wear a dress or something easy to get out of. You're gonna get naked, turn around so they can see if they can work with your imperfections. Then you'll get paperwork for your permit.

Once you start dancing, good exotic dancer stores are Looks of Atlanta and they have one old Old National called class hour fashions-pretty decent. Good luck!

Wear a bikini to black clubs and lingerie to white clubs. Shave everything get clear dancer heels.
    Dress to kill the wallet.

Go to Looks of Atlanta or buy an outfit from the house mom when you get there. Looks of Atlanta is literally around the corner from Onyx. Onyx will probably have you dance to 3 songs, first removing your top, then your bottom on the second song, and then just nude on the 3rd. That's Magic's audition process & Onyx is up there with Magic, so I'd assume their processes would be the same. Each song won't be long, I promise you, but that's only if it's an actual audition, some clubs do body checks. Peaches of Atlanta, I've auditioned there before, I had to dance to one song and get completely naked during that one song. I didn't get the job for whatever reason, I think it was because they weren't actually hiring, but just needed girls to get naked for day shift because none of the dancers wanted to work day shift (when I went to the audition it was only one day shift dancer on the floor), or maybe because I hadn't danced before, had no experience, or maybe I just really wasn't their cup of tea, I don't know. But the club I work at now, I just did a body check.
One day, the people who never believed in you, will brag about how they use to know you 💋

Hey, trying to get the low down on auditioning as well. I'm a thick white girl, trying to figure out which clubs would be best. Do Cheetah's and Pink Pony only hire skinny girls for the most part? And are Oasis and Onyx stage money clubs?
