Ok, so finally got the balls to go audition, I went to the first club and the bouncer sent me around back to the employee entrance, told me to Buzz the door. So I sat in the car pretty nervous inside, went up to the door with my bag. They buzz me in. I was right inside the dressing room, a few women were in there topless, I kinda felt like i was intruding just as someone coming in to audition, but didn't show it, just played it cool. There was a woman, older, plain, dressed in street clothes. She asked me, how can i help u with a smile. I figured she was the house mom. I told her i was there to audition, then instantly, her smile went away, her eyebrows went down, she gave me a quick look up down and she said, we're not hiring for night shift, come back in the daytime. What's up with that? We're they really not hiring for nights? Or did she just think i wasn't fit for night shift? It was just weird how fast her tone and body language changed.
So, anyway went to another club after that, the bouncer said we're way to busy, can't get u in right now. Then went to a third, the manager came outside and spoke to me in the parking lot. He was very nice and encouraging. He said he would probably hire me, but he doesn't audition girls without a sheriff's card first (Vegas) he told me some clubs will give ua referral without auditioning (you HAVE to have a referral to get one) but when i called the club's he recommended they all said the same, they don't give out referrals, and won't audition without a card, so now, my new dilemma. How do i get a referral if i have to have one first, but can't get one without referral. After all three clubs, calling three more, and still No actual audition, I felt a little defeated. Any advice, I still really want to dance, and I found out i had the courage to actually go for it. It was kind embarrassing, No one even auditioned me, I know I'm a good looking girl, Damn, am i that bad, I can't get the time of day? Did i do something wrong in my approach? Thanks in advance.
