Default Incall location with a dog

I'm an escort and right now I work out of hotels. Hotels in LA are really expensive in the summer time even with discount plans and bidding websites so I'm looking into getting an incall location. Then it occurred to me that I live in a 2 bedroom controlled access building in a nice area, so why don't I just offer incalls from my home? I'm low volume and have a 2 hour minimum so there won't be a lot of foot traffic in and out of my apartment. I live on a corner unit anyway so there's only have one neighbor whose often overseas.

The downside to using my 2 bed apartment as an incall is my small dog. I do my best to clean up after his hair, but I don't think I could completely hide him since he barks sometimes. His hair can also linger. I'd obviously lock him in the other bedroom if I had a client so he would be out of sight, but is this enough?

Will clients get upset if I have a dog at my incall in the other room? What about allergies? If I do this, should I put add this information to my website? Should I keep this option for well known clients only? What do you think?

I think as long as your dog was given a chew toy or something to keep him distracted he might not make too much noise. I'd say just vacuum often. Perhaps one of those rumba vacuums so that it always just cleans on its own. You could get a lint roller to quickly clean up the furniture. Maybe an oil diffuser to mask any dog smell. Put on music to hide noises your dog might make. I don't see why clients would have a problem with it. If your apartment has a balcony you could put the dog out there. Maybe you could hire a dog walker to take him out for a couple hours during appointments.

I have a dog who stays put up. She's never once been a problem.

But, judging from your previous posts, you go to great lengths to keep regulars (which is admirable as I've met girls who don't give a fuck), so I'll give the best insight I can:

    1) Take extra precautions to make sure your place doesn't smell like dog. I know its gross to think about, but people who don't have animals are sensitive to the smell and those are the people you need to watch out for. Aside from obvious cleanliness, I use a spray that takes out the pet smell from my couch and other furniture. Sort of like febreeze, but its stronger and had a nicer smell. I got it at Marshalls, I believe. I also burn candles with a masculine scent during appointments. Scentsational makes some that smell like men's cologne.

I'm super fucking weird about this. I'm always asking my good friends "Does it smell like dog up here?" It never does, thank god. But, still, its a paranoia. LOL.

    2) Dog hair is a whore. I have a long haired dog, so sweeping, vacumming and dusting is an everyday job. I also use one of those giant sticky lint rollers on my couch and comforter before appointments.

    3) I never thought about warning clients with allergies, so that might indeed be a good idea.

    4) Barking: As long as your pup isn't raising holy hell, I don't see it being a problem. All dogs protect their territory from intruders, so a few yaps are to be expected.

When i escorted, i did in my apartment, and also had the issue with my dog. shes so jealous that she ended up eating my panties while i was in the bedroom with the guy, so i started to lock her in the kitchen...bad mistake, she barked the intire time the guys were with me and got worst than ever as she started to trash the kitchen by throwing down the trash can and making a mess. So i decided to leave her in the house just by herself and that got me a lighter time when having guys over. My house doesnt smell like i have a dog, at least this is what i was told, and her hair is very short, so np with hair either, but the jelousy ad the barking...ughhhh

Clients don't care as long as the dog doesn't attack them, hump their leg, or try to join in (i know disgusting - but it's happened to some)
If your dog is going to tear shit up, you might want to consider other alternatives - or maybe get a dog sitter during appointments.
You seem to charge enough to be able to afford that : )

I've never escorted, but I know a thing or two about owning animals lol.

If you are really worried about the smell, then you can use unscented odor neutralizing plugins. I've seen them at grocery stores around here, so they are easy to get. They are unscented, so you don't have to worry about people not liking a particular scent as well.

To help reduce dog hair you can throw sheets over furniture and remove them when you expecting clients, or even leave them on and just change them when clients will be coming over.

If your dog has behavior problems when shut in a room crate training may help that. All of my dogs are crate trained and love their crates. I can always tell when one isn't feeling well because they won't come out. It's a secure place for them. It isn't a punishment place, but more like going to your room when you are stressed because it is familiar and secure.

^_^ I hope it goes well for you

Get a Scentsy warmer & open the windows, should help with dog odor.

If the dog is too much during IC, take him to doggy daycare. I think I remember you saying you lived by The Grove? Or maybe it was Santa Monica? either way- you should be able to fund a daycare at that would charge you $20 or less for half a day. Check Yelp.

I remember seeing someone's website who did incall in her home who had a cat(s). She said something to the effect of, if you're allergic make sure you take your meds before coming over. I liked that, mostly because she didn't ask if it was okay- she just told them that's what they needed to do. (Great sales tactic- address potential objections before they have a chance to voice them) I don't know what people take for pet allergies, but maybe if there is something OTC you can have some on hand in just in case.
