I do well pale but I pull the ~gothic alt~ look which works for me with piercings and tattoos, Id imagine overall tan is better if it looks natural?

I look better with a tan. I feel better with a tan. I'm pretty pale but at £25 a week for spray tans it was getting expensive and obviously I was missing a days cam because I couldn't roll around on a bed until it had developed. I can't apply fake tan for love nor money so tend to stay white :-(

I have a tanning membership with unlimited spray tan. It's versaPro. I've never had issues with Versa spa, and I use the lay down/ stand up beds inbetween. They sell a scrub to use to exfoliate before spray tanning, so I go anywhere from 1-2 times a week. Depends on in between my boobs. I guess cause my boobs touch, it rubs the spray tan.
The key to spray tanning is to let it dry 4-6 hours, or sleep in it, and to stay moisturized. And using a moisturizer made especially for spray tanning.
Either way, it's worth it to me. I HATE fake bake (the brand) because there's no guarantee you get every spot unless you have help. Even then, to me, it looks like you did it at home.

    Just my two cents.

I don't do the fake tan normally but when I do I'm really cheap and use Jergens Gradual fake tan. It looks good until like day 4 in a row in my opinion then it starts to look fake. My tan from the sun is more of a brown color and this shit is more orangey if you use it enough.

Most people love my pale skin and I'm blonde too which makes me extra fucking pale- even so I'm adored on cam. So I don't really feel a necessity. The only time I bother is when I am ACTUALLY sick and my really pale skin emphasizes my illness more- then I pop on fake tan lol

Also just adjust your camera settings to be less pale as fuck and use that white balance..

added a pic. nobody gives a damn rly at least with me

I've been using bed tanning so far with monthly breaks in between though, because I love swapping from pale to tanned and reverse and both look ok on me. I never tan my face, though! Last week, my membership at the tanning saloon expired and it's the perfect timing to try some tanning sprays and lotions. I plan to only use them from now on because it is healthier this way and will help my skin stay young too.

I have quit tanning beds only bc I can not find a local salon that I like. I tanned for over 20 years in beds. use lotions and potions, tanned every day.
I grew up at the beach and the big deal was to see who could get the biggest bubbles from over exposure.
Skin Cancer is big in my family... but I was a 80s kid, we lived outside.

since I have quit tanning the only thing I notice is my fat ass looks better with a tan. no wrinkles, no facial wrinkles. Checked yearly for skin cancer. Im also big into skin care and potions.
I had used St Tropez in the past and I loved it.

I think tan looks better when performing but auto adjust seems to be fine. I wouldnt use the drug store brands. Tried those and all get flaky

I like this one http://www.sallybeauty.com/Hemp-Bron...FYdXDQodInoFqQ Also I would get weird tan half-circles on my arms from my boobs and so now wear a t-shirt wile I do my legs, butt and lower tummy area, then pull it off for boobs and upper chest and arms.

I do think I look better with a tan, but not a dark one so I was thinking of trying gradual tan so I can have a bit more control over how dark I want to go (Just so it looks like I actually go outside from time to time lol.) The issue is that I find maintaining a tan extremely tedious! Do any of you use the gradual ones? If so, what is your routine like? X

Now that it is spring, I wanted to post a reminder to please be careful in the sun and tanning beds. I am now paying the price for tanning when I was young. My mom always used to warn me but I didn't listen.

I have had 2 incidents of skin cancer. I am camming with a bandage on my face right now. I would rather be pale than go through this again!

I think real life nothing looks better than a good all over sun tan but, it doesn't work quite the same on cam & for photographic work.

A tan takes all the luminosity out of the skin & its easy to add colour back in to photo's / cam but, its pretty impossible to take it back out.

Pro models are encouraged to only tan if the skin tone is uneven so, if your pale but you've got a good tone then don't tan.

I'm quite naturally pale & I love how my skin looks on cam but I do look better with some colour in my real life. I did a sunbed a few years back & then I did some pictures and yes, my skin in the pictures looked very flat and uneven with the tan and I thought it made me look older, It really did just take away all the luminosity which seems to make me look younger than I really am.
