So, recently I moved to a new city & got a Japanese straightening treatment at this Korean place. This is probably the 3rd time I've had the treatment done now, but the other two treatments were done at a Chinese place in the city where I lived before. I did not have any problems with my previous treatments.
When I went to this new place, the lady seemed really diligent about asking me questions about my hair, previous treatments I'd had, etc. When I left the salon though, I noticed that there was this patch on the top of my head where the hair felt really brittle. I figured it was something that would go away after I washed my hair, so I didn't worry too much about it. Except that......it didn't go away, and a few days later, my hair started breaking off like crazy in that one spot, about 1/8" from the scalp. Now I have a bald spot on the top of my head!!
I am 100% convinced it's something that lady did wrong during the process, because it's just the one spot. I went back to the salon the other day and showed her, and she acted all surprised and kept insisting that I'm the first person that's ever happened to. She blamed it on my hair type and basically just told me that my hair will grow back. She told me to come back in 6 weeks for a free haircut & some kind of treatment.....but now that I think about it, do I really want to let her touch my hair again?? Whatever she does is not going to make my hair magically reattach to my head.
I would really like to ask for my money back, but I doubt that will happen since she's so adamant about denying any wrongdoing. Plus I paid in cash, so there's not even a record of the original transaction. I'm so mad!!!
