Default Strange question about self-tanner and breast implants.

I should probably know the answer to this, but when I go in for surgery, is it best to make sure I have any self tanner scrubbed off or does it not matter?

I am just not sure if it could lead to infection if I leave it on or if they would somehow think they were messing up my skin, seeing me go from one shade to a completely different shade.

I'd scrub hard. They do scrub with iodine but if it makes you feel better it's worth the bother...

The nurse is going to clean the area themselves anyways.

I had a surgery and waxed before because I didn't want to be all hairy but they shaved the same area anyways - dry shave, the worst. Like cotdamn it now you've just given me razor burn.

I'm doubtful that it matters, but if you want to remove it, a lactic acid lotion like AmLactin will help and you won't need to exfoliate as much.

They dry-shaved you? That's rude considering how expensive doctors are!

I actually had abdominal surgery a few months ago and asked my surgeon about that. They gave me a special antibacterial soap that I had to shower with two times, the night before and the morning of and while I scrubbed as much off as I could that soap sure as hell got rid of the rest pretty well. I'd ask your doctor though. Better safe than sorry, right?
