I got back from a 10-day Hawaii trip on Monday night, then went back to work the following Tuesday (yesterday). I traveled both Sunday and Monday and it dragged on and on due to a layover, so I was pretty exhausted at work last night and made the least amount of money I've made in a long time. I just didn't feel my usual energetic, hustle-y self at all.
I still feel that exhausted feeling today that kept me out of my money-making zone last night. I'm on the schedule to work ($20 call out fee) and Wednesdays are usually pretty good, but part of me feels like maybe I'd be better off recharging for a couple days and then returning over the weekend feeling refreshed.
I have plenty of money to hold me over and all that, but I'm saving for a boob job I'm having on June 29th and need about $1000 more and about another $3000 total after that for my time off. I can normally earn that in 2 weeks or so no problem but it does make me feel kind of more determined to go in....though that's how I felt last night going in, then soon regretted not resting more.
I'm just curious what more experienced dancers think about knowing when to take a few days off vs sucking it up and going in. I legitimately have a hard time telling which way is the right way to go sometimes. Thanks
