    Default Best mattress for camming??

I'm looking at getting a new mattress for my (new, twin) cam-bed. I currently cam on a coil, very firm queen bed. The new cam bed will only be used for sleeping as a second guestbed (previous cambed will be primary guestbed). Therefore, comfort while sleeping isn't nearly as important as comfort while camming.

Any mattress recommendations? I'm wondering if a memory foam would be good? Or would it be bad? I figure it's one or the other, not neutral.

If not memory foam, I'm thinking firm, but I'd love some info on buying a decent one online if y'all have any. Thanks!

I found memory foam to be terrible for sex and camming, because knees and elbows sink in it. Woops.

However, a pocket-sprung mattress with a memory foam topper is the bees knees. Mine is from Ikea, though if you don't already have their bed frame it probably won't work for you (weird non-standard sizes galore).

I don't know brands off the top of my head. But my sleeping bed is memory foam and I love it. I love it so much I'm thinking about getting one for my camroom. Also personally for me I think its best to have a bed that's kinda high. Just depends on your best angles. Right now the bed I use is a queen size from a hotel liquidation sale. It was brand new but it squeaks. Beware of beds with cushion on only one side. Tgw under workings make so much noise while changing positions.

Doesn't matter what it will be used for the most , always buy it as if you will be sleeping on it.

memory foam, in my experience, is too soft and will wear down over time (creating that "sinking" feeling as mentioned above)

Why? It will in fact very rarely be slept on. Most of its use will be for camming. Just trying to understand your logic here.

Thank you for the help everyone! As far as the bed frame goes, I have purchased this and it's on the way:
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B009X7...RbL&ref=plSrch

So I'm only looking for a mattress to go on it. If anyone has any thoughts on why this might be a *bad* bed for camming (aside from the fact that it's a twin; I've decided to opt for a twin because I'm switching rooms and that's all that fits), please share; I can still return it for free.

As for height, I use a laptop desk with adjustable height, and I may switch to a desktop in the future, but I'll find a similar rolly desk for the monitor as well, if I do. The layout of the room is so awkward that I can't cam straight from a stationary desk.

A water bed! lol....jk. Also, i haven't even seen a water bed since the early 2000's....But on the real i'm probably just going to get a super firm, normal twin sized bed for my camming room in my new house.

I think that's a lot of money for a twin bed. You just need a good comfy mattress and a metal frame. The headboards can be whatever. I know you wanna use it for guest too. But really placement on the wall in an L shape with cute pillows is all you need. Or place it catercorner for riding shows. I really don't think its that important to spend a ton of money on decor. It's the tech that's most important.

I agree with you that it's not necessary, but I care about decor of this room as well for non-camming purposes.

I can't do an L-shape in this room, and I have a "fuckstool" for riding shows.

I really don't recommend memory foam for camming. I cammed on it for a while and it was awful, I was honestly so frustrated that I wanted to cry. My body kept sinking into it, there was no bounce to it, it was like moving through quicksand. For my entire shift. Terrible. It's comfy as hell to sleep on because it sucks you in and you don't want to move, but for camming it's not ideal. I did get used to it eventually but I noticed that my shows during that time period were much lower-energy (in appearance, not in effort)--my bouncy bubbly energetic shtick didn't really work when it took so much effort just to move. I highly recommend something firm with springs so you're not spending all of your energy just trying to move around on the bed.

I can kinda understand that. Please share a photo when you're done. I have an idea for my next camroom too. But I won't spend much on furniture. Just surround sound speakers for music and ambient noises.

Funny, I don't want to spend much on sound at all! Justa decent enough speaker that I can hear a guy mumble when he has his mic on. When I put on background music I have to keep it really low, otherwise I start singing along when it's slow, and your voice never sounds as good as you think it does digitized. I think it's cool that different camgirls have different priorities in terms of where to spend money. I'd be happy to share some non-identifying pics once the bed is set up.

Bump! I'm shopping now, and if anyone has updates or additional opinions, it would be appreciated. In addition to camming, I might actually sleep in the bed at some point, but I don't usually have much opinion about my sleeping surface as long as my pillow is good.

I currently cam from a wooden futon with a futon mattress. It barely provides any cushioning, and no bounce at all, but it's worked so far and I have no "sinking" problems with it. I recently tried riding a dildo on my memory foam bed, and noticed exactly what others have mentioned - the sinking, quicksand feeling and no bounce. I don't know if that's because the bed is getting older and has suffered a lot of "abuse," if it was never intended to be a firm mattress, and/or if that's just the nature of memory foam. It's also really hard to get up out of squishy couches, so I'm thinking that soft surfaces universally pull your energy downward.

So, I think I'm looking for the firmest possible mattress - would that be a spring-based or a firm memory foam? As far as I know, I haven't slept on a spring-based mattress in years, much less attempted sex or camming on one. Do they universally squeak or feel lumpy or pokey?

I think a spring based mattress with pillow top or pillow top mattresses work well. I cammed from one and it was both comfortable and offered some bounce. The one I had the pillow top was removable (not sure if they're all that way) so if you want more of the bounce and less of the comfort you can take it off. Good luck finding something that works.

Have you considered an inflatable mattress just for camming?
