What kind of bed do you have? Love it or hate it? Why?
Where did you buy it? How much did you pay? Would you do it differently next time?

Charlie, u always start the most exciting threads. Like, woah..ur so cool.
I mistakenly bought a foam mattress. And I've got to get a new firmer mattress very soon cause I feel like I'm sinking in and I've had a few backaches because of it. Plus a few years ago, I fucked a few dudes on it and I need to permanently get rid of any symbols of dudes I regret fucking.
It was way overpriced mattress I bought in store so I'm sure those slick salesmen marked it up 4 x in price.
I have a platform frame it was less than $100 new and highly rated so I'm happy with that but I'd love to jazz it up with a tufted headboard
I'm glad I have a bed but I'll be even happier with a new mattress.

Pillow top queen with a layer of some sort of cooling gel stuff towards the top which is *amazing.* I'd survived all this time without it just fine, so I wrote it off as a meaningless bell and whistle, but nope. The bed is nice, but the fact that it stays cool through the night is probably my favorite part of it now. Got it because my boyfriend has/had back issues and was waking up every morning in pain. It's gradually been getting better though, to the point where I can't actually remember the last time his back hurt. Good bed!
Got it from some mattress chain... Mattress Something. Can't remember which one, since we went to a few different "Mattress Something"s when we were shopping around. The bottom line price was $530 or so with a $90ish box spring.

I got everything online. Happy with it, but it's a gamble Bc it's hard to send back lol.
Don't get a foam mattress. They are really hot and don't breathe or support very well IMO.
I regret getting a frame with a footboard but my bed frame is too cute to replace now.
Read the reviews online.
Look on multiple websites because it's often cheaper somewhere else. Google for discount codes for that site, I got like 10% off which added up.

I got mine online too and went with pillowtop and it is SOO comfy. I got it off matters firm and spent like a grand with tax and shipping and everything. The only thing I regret is getting a Queen because it's not as big as I thought it would be I definitely should've gotten a King. I don't remember the type of mattress I just know it had a lot of really good reviews and it's a pillow top.

I have a Queen bed want bigger, its so comfy tho, its a firm mattress cost $1400, we got it a year ago, its in storage at the moment and I miss it.
xoxo
Bump!
Also, if you guys could provide links (when you can / if applicable), that'd be fantastic!

We are in the market ! Recommend the best Queen Bed you LOVE $400-$900. It's ok to top 1k even if it's awesome.![]()
My mom just highly recommended this one: https://casper.com
Free shipping, 100-day trial with full refund and pickup, and no need for box springs. $850 for a queen, $950 for a king.
I went ahead and bought it. I will definitely update once I receive it! My brand trust is at 100% based on the purchasing experience alone. I'm excited!
If any of you decide to buy a Casper, please PM me! I get a $50 amazon card for anyone I refer, and now that I'm no longer dancing and have a laughably low income, that extra money would be awesome! I'll send you the link privately.
^I absolutely will!
I couldn't be happier with the company, the ordering process, or the bed.

So the bed was good? Do they sell in any stores cause I'd like to try before buying. We will be getting a new bed when we move.![]()

We got our mattress / box spring from Costco. It was very nice ( I think they only had 2 choices and we got the more expensive one ). It was $599 for mattress / box spring. I regret not buying the King. We are returning the Queen for the King soon ( they have a very good return policy ). We thought it wouldn't fit well but I want the King and we only need 8" more on each side . It's a snug fit for room but I want it.
We almost got an Ikea one . They felt ok, but I didn't trust it ( they come rolled up like a burrito tied with straps ).
I bought a really expensive sprung mattress and it was total shit and gave me pain on both sides, in my hips, when laying on either side, which was a bit of a nightmare when trying to sleep.
I've now got one of the cheapest ones from IKEA which I bought on impulse as I was desperate and the pain has gone and I'm totally comfortable! It came rolled up as well (I was a bit suspicious of it but it was the only one I could fit into my car).
I think it's a lottery sometimes.
I don't expect this one to last over 5 years though to be honest.

I'm getting my next bed at Costco. The last one I slept on was a memory foam one which oddly enough didn't do much for my back. I am currently on an inflatable bed (temp) due to moving out of my ex's house. Bizarrely enough my back feels better on an air bed than a $2k memory foam bed. Weird.
2 things to dont be afraid to spend good $$ on - a bed & a computer.

Has anybody had experience with American Freight Company or another cheap mattress company? It says $179 a piece for a pillow top queen. Is that too good to be true to you?
I see a pillow top queen set for $399.
I'm guessing you're working with a tight budget, so I hope this isn't an asshole-ish thing to say. But just consider that we spend 30% of our lives in bed, and mattresses last for years. So even though I paid $800 for mine, if it lasts me 10 years, that's only $80/year for something I use a lot. That's like 22 cents a day! I'd even consider financing a bed if I couldn't afford to buy it outright. That's just me though - seriously. Thought I'd mention it.

I have a sealy posturepedic! I have scoliosis and went in to buy a memory foam but the crotchety old salesman convinced me not to- the bed was firmer than what I was used to but it has done wonders for my back and has a 20year guarantee... I'd recommend a high quality name brand coil mattress to anyone (the low quality ones are shit and not at all comfortable). Paid 900$ at 65% off.
