Default Please Help! Shared Wifi stopped automatically connecting. Must reboot everytime!

Two days ago out of the blue my computer and tablet stopped automatically connecting to the router which is in roommates office. Strange, because I've been using this connection since I moved in 8 months ago, without any problems.
His computer is hardwired into it, and isn't affected.
Putting his router in my room isn't an option.
I asked him to please call his provider, ( Time Warner) ..cut to me sitting here 2 days later with the same problem because he hasn't 'gotten around to it yet'. He knows I rely on the net for camming.
    Please help.
Thank You very much in advance.

If the router isn't Time-Warner equipment then they don't (and won't) have anything to do with it. Generally the router is hooked to the modem (which usually is ISP equipment). For Wifi, anything under $300 is "cheap" in the networking world, and prone to intermittent failure, overheating, or signal interference - also not useful for Streamate at all any more if you cam there. Fully 95% of our Streamate tech support is telling people to get hard-wired and their problems do disappear after that.

I would highly recommend getting a 30m Cat5/Cat6 cable (about $20) which can reach most places in a mid-sized house or apartment. Usually there's enough slack to run it along the wall edge (with staples) and under area rugs so it doesn't get in the way, and still enough cable to walk around with it in your room.

^^ I think you misunderstood. My laptop and tablet stopped automatically connecting to the house wifi.
Camsite aside. It doesn't connect at all until I go unplug and then replug the modem.

If his hard-wired connection still works, it likely isn't a modem issue.

    Key question -

    Do you have:
    A) Modem/Wifi/Router combo provided by T-W? (Comcast gave us this, but we still connect it to our own router and then to the rest of the house)
    B) Modem provided by T-W connected to a router/wifi?

In the setup in his room...

A cable comes from the outside (or from the wall) and plugs into something.

That first little box is the modem. This generally also has phone capability, so the phone plugs into it as well.

Now, does he plug his computer directly into this -OR- does it plug into another small box that then plugs into his computer?

The cable plugs directly into a black box.(the one where if all blue lights are on, so is internet).
His computer is plugged into that.

So you have a modem/router combo if you see only one box. If that's the box TW gave you. Call TW to gave it replaced.

He can call them, verify the account, then you can speak with TW.

Tell them the Wi-Fi is no longer properly working, but the computer that is hard wired doesn't get disconnects. I need a new modem. Don't let them send you a new modem via mail. Request for a technician to install it because you are not tech savvy

Thanks Everyone for your quick responses.
Update: I was able to connect both my tablet, and laptop automatically today, with no problem.
Mystery solved? Idk, its still a mystery why it did that in the first place.

This is what solved the problem. Thank You Katy.

This happened to me the other day! I went through loads of doagnostic stuff but what fixed it was deleting the network 'forget network' then reconnecting and typing in the password again. Fingers crossed it hasn't happened since. It was proper stressful!

You're so lucky that that's all You had to do.
I lost 3 days on cam because even though my internet company switched channels, it still wouldn't stay connected.
