Default I got "taken off night shift"

We have a certain hour minimum. You can't leave unless you have met the minimum hour requirements. This last time I went into work, I wanted to leave early. I have been doing that a lot. So I pissed off the manager, and he got mad and told me to leave. Then said I couldn't work at night anymore because I can't stay an entire shift. I explained I had class at 7 am. Anyway. Should I go and try to calmly talk to him and explain my schedule and promise to be more responsible about scheduling myself on days that don't conflict with my night shifts? When we argued last I was really aggressive and basically went
I'm leaving idgaf what you say

Hopefully he gives me a chance to talk to him and not just tells the security I can't work and dsnt let me in the door.

You guys have any tips on how to handle this? This club is consistent income, like I don't want to go anywhere else and I can't work day shift, it isn't enough money and I'm in school now.

Damn that's a lot of rules. I would have bounced too.

Well if he gave you multiple warnings and you ignored him then you may be sol.

But if he gave no warning and told you to leave then maybe you can talk to him again, talk to another manager or even the owner if need be. Talk calmly about how unfair it is for him to force you to a set schedule that day knowing you had to be in school 7 am next day.

If they don't listen then be prepared to walk away knowing you will find something better.

Yeah. I was just tired and cranky. I am going to talk to him and try to get him to have "compassion"

Go back and talk to him calmly. Bring your schedule in hand as well.

Is midshift an option at your club? Going in at 4-5, and leaving at midnight?

Yeah, you shoudln't be working on nights that you have class at 7am at all. If anything work dayshift till 9pm, even 11 or midnight is still too late imo. That or if you really want to work night shift then ask if you can do fri-sat only. Is this an issue where they are making you work a minimum number of shifts per week and you are stuck having to schedule yourself one or two nights when you have class the next day. I have gotten let go from clubs before because they didn't want to let me be flexible enough, I explained I had another job and couldn't always do their slow days espescially if my customers were not available, and they still didn't like it. You've kind of got to decide how important it is for you to work at the club on that shift and if it is an irreplacable gig/source of income, then you will need to bend your own schedule to fit their rules unfortunately. It's not always possible to find a club that you like that has flexible scheduling.

Can you pay a fine for leaving early, if nothing else? We have different rates based on hrs worked. Under 6 is $100, 6 or over is $60, if we schedule ourselves and work 6 hrs it's 30 per shift that week, even if we only commit to one shift on the schedule. It's a bit convoluted, but it works.
