    Default Silicone Breast Implant Lump?

I've had under-the-muscle silicone breast implants for 4 years, and haven't had any complications until now. But I just realized today that I have a little hard lump on the lower side of my right breast implant... it feels like a hard straight line, and it's kind of uncomfortable to touch. The area around there feels a bit sore, but I'm not sure if that's just a muscle thing...?

I have basically zero breast tissue, so I can't tell if it's in my natural breast or my implant. Either way, kinda freaking out! Could it be a rupture? A fold in the implant? Breast cancer lump?? My aunt was just diagnosed with breast cancer, the first one in our family, so that makes me nervous :\

I'm going to make an appointment with my surgeon ASAP...

Anyone been in a similar situation?

Is it visible to the naked eye? How long would you say it is? Rippling can look like lines but they look and feel like folds, not linear lumps.

I had a dime-sized lump over one of my implants that would get sore and hurt when prodded, it ended up being a cyst that went away on its own.

I would think that if it was a silicone leak you'd be really swollen and shit. Don't panic.

That makes me feel better. Thanks! <3

It's not visible. It's about 1/4" long. I'm pretty sure it's not a ripple... I can sometimes feel ripples, but this is hard and doesn't move.

God I hope it's a cyst or something. I made an appointment with the plastic surgeon on Wednesday... curious what he's going to say.

It's probably a cyst but go to your general provider ASAP to do an Exma !

An MRI is recommended every two years if you have silicone implants. That's why I got saline. Go to a doctor ASAP.
