Default Getting started for finding Photos, content, etc..?

I am new to the whole webcam thing, however, I've been dancing for 15 years already. I've done a search in camming connections for photographer, content, photos, etc? However, I'm not pulling up any specific threads or useful info in the usual threads that pop up. I know, that there you guys get swamped with so many questions & what not -thats why I hate to bother by starting a new thread. Sorry!

I just moved to a new city a few months back & dancing has been suuuper slow, so I finally took the plunge & cammed a few times already. Wasn't great, but I did make around $70 some odd bucks for just a few measly hours -so I'm staying positive. I researched dif games to play & what not on different website & found some really helpful ones.

However, the issue that I now have is that I don't have any really great or nice photos for my profile or content at all -save for a few cute selfies from my cell. I considered looking for a photog that is for TFP on Models Mayhem or something of the sort -but I just moved down here & do not really know anyone & do not wanna get around anyone creepy or worse yet have them save those photos or try to profit off them. Also, the whole idea of doing these kinda photos with a stranger in a new city whom I do not know or trust yet makes me feel abit vulnerable. I already feel pretty vulnerable & on the fence because it's so dif than dancing & I'm pushing out of a long established comfort zone. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated? Again, I also apologize for the new thread if there was a old one that already existed. Thanks!

Search youtube for DIY photoshoot, there are tons of great tutorials. Trial and error obviously but you'll be safer and be able to create your pictures exactly how you want them. It's amazing what you can do with some shower curtains, white/black sheets, a cheap lighting kit off ebay, and a basic camera - heck even your mobile phone on a stand will work great in most cases!

To be honest cam guys tend to prefer more natural profile pics. I guess if your persona is the ultra pro porn star type then pics that look like they've come from a porn set or glamour shoot will probably help. But generally the self shot selfie pics and a few wearing different outfits/showing your personality are best x

I know you said you moved to a new state, but do you have any friends that could take the pictures for you? You don't have to tell them what they are for. I know a lot of cam girls will have some clothed pics that still look sexy, or even just sexy lingerie pics are a hit with the men.

I also agree with sexysusie. You can take some pretty sexy pics of yourself and if they do not turn out the way you want them, you can just take some more at your convenience. Most of the time when I take pics, I put the timer on so I won't even be holding the cam. Pics can look like someone else took them this way.

Another thing to try for a self shot photo shoot is to set up your webcam, record a video of you doing various poses and stuff, and then either pull screenshots from the video or use the free video to JPG converter that comes with the dvdvideosoft.com software suite: http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/products...-Converter.htm Just be careful when installing it as it tries to sneak in unneeded extras. Just pay attention to everything you're agreeing to and checkmarks that are checked and you should be fine. The video to JPG converter can be set to save a photo at intervals that you set. Then just go through and pick out the ones you like and look up some youtube tutorials on photo editing tricks. Gimp is a good free PhotoShop alternative if you don't have that. You can get it here: https://www.gimp.org/

Another huge advantage of taking your own photos is that you will own them. Even if the photographer gives you a few pics for your time, that doesn't mean they belong to you, and he still holds the copyright to those images. It is very rare that a photographer will give you the copyright, or even the extremely liberal license you need in order to use the pics for pretty much anything.

On some sites, by posting a pic, you agree to give the site ownership of it. You really can't give away ownership of a photo if you don't own the copyright. On many sites, posting a photo means that you agree to give the site exclusive license to use the image, meaning that neither you nor anyone else (such as the photographer) can use that pic elsewhere. That's also problematic if you aren't the owner. Most of our sites insist that you MUST own the copyright for any images you post, because usually the photographer is the only one that can give sites permission to use the image the way they need to use it. They don't want you posting pics of yourself, only to find out that the true owner of the image is going to dispute their right to display it.

As far as editing goes, Snapseed is a surprisingly good phone app, and Photoscape is a free editor for your computer. Don't worry about technical perfection or super high resolution. It's much more important to get shots that pop out among the rest. It should express you, look uncluttered, and be comprehensible at a glance (as in, it shouldn't take guys a second to recognize what body part they're seeing). Also, pay attention to whether you need photos in a landscape or portrait angle for the site you're on.

    Brandi_Lynn,
Unless your cam girl persona is glamour stripper and porn star; guys love a more natural approach to camming. Simple photos taken from your cell phone would do for these guys. You can take different photos with different outfits and different makeup styles. Maybe take a black and white photo as well

You also can download a release form off of the web, a contract saying that you own all copyrights to the pictures & videos shot that day. Always pay them some kind of money & do it with a check to show payment for services rendered. Have that amount written onto the contract.

Once I had a boyfriend who shot lots of my content. but I always paid him something & had him sign those releases. When we split he tried to threaten me with a lawsuit saying we were biz partners & he was owed 50% of my profits. Then I reminded him of that paperwork & all those cashed checks. We had no partnership verbal or otherwise at anytime.

It is amazing what you can do all by yourself & Tsani gave great advise. There is a huge market in porn for selfie content pics & videos, guys prefer that the pics are not photoshopped & what not. In this biz for marketing & social media purposes getting good at taking selfies is a must & the best marketing tool any performer can have.

I don't know where you reside, but there are plenty of professional porn photographers in Miami & LA area who charge a per day price if you want to invest money into it. More than happy to get paid & sign a release form.

    Smooches,
    Sam

Thank you so much! I will definitely download these programs. I also need to get a better webcam -as I have just been using the one in my laptop so far & it limits me a tad. I have been on myfreecams & just registered to bongacams as well. So I'm hoping to learn how to splitcam between these two sites once I get more comfy with camming & learn how to splitcam & get up to par with all the techy stuff. I can't believe I've even taken the plunge of camming considering I'm so techy retarded lol. Thank you, ladies! Been very helpful!

How many starter photos does one need exactly? Just a hot profile pic & what maybe a full length one or? I've been doing the selfie naturals myself & still feel meh about most of them.
