    Default Canada Job/Escort Laws

    Hello,

I am an American who wanted to travel to Canada to escort. I understand that the escorting laws over there are pretty good for sex workers. However, a bigger problem is the Canadian laws regarding whether or not Americans can work in certain jobs.

I understand the escort laws (no incall, no working together, etc.) however my question pertains more to whether or not an American can legally work in that occupation without some sort of permit?

    I appreciate any information!

No you need a permit in Canada and the prices are super cheap and low not to mention the guys refuse to verify properly cause they really don't need to; it's legal. Your best bet is to stay here in the states. Not to mention Canada is a territory of Great Britain and the BREXIT just tanked their economy.

Certain cities require a permit, others don't. Toronto does not require a permit. You can get away with working in cities that require a license as long as you are not working there permanently (ie. touring).

Prices are on average lower than in the US. However there are still mid-high end girls making a living here.

I'm an escort in Canada and I screen all of my clients. If you screen, you will need to charge more than the average escort rate of the city you are in.

Brexit does not affect Canada's economy negatively. If anything, it could strengthen our dollar. However, at least right now, there is loss in the exchange CAD to USD.

I can't speak to the hotel thing, but advertising will depend on where you go. If you head to Vancouver, I've always had the most luck with PERB and LeoList.

Unlike the US, you don't have to worry about being arrested since incalls are legal. Hotel personnel can still discriminate of course, so it's still good to be discreet. Hotel prices can shift wildly, so check prices before you tour. Some hotels you can reserve ahead without paying for a deposit and easy cancellations. You can pm me if you want hotel recommendations.

I've done searches for airbnb but never found a place that fit my criteria ie. Very central/close to business district, with buzzer and well appointed. Another problem I don't know how to get around is sometimes condo security is very strict. One airbnb condo I stayed in (not for work) needed to know exactly who I was and why I was there - even though I had a key to buzz in. Redic. Needless to say, not good to host out of.

Places to advertise: Terb.cc and Eros
Less traffic but free to post: caerf.cc, lyla.com, p411, ter

CAERF.cc started charging for advertising this year, 100$ for the full year.

    For Alberta, and Sask, CAFreviews.
For Manitoba, PERB, and a bit of CAFreviews.
    For Montreal/Quebec, MERB.

Just thought I'd chime in: Canada is part of the Commonwealth (as are Australia and New Zealand, to name a few countries), but we're not a British territory, even though the Queen is the Head of State. Our currency is independent from the UK. As Ad_Astra pointed out, if Brexit has affected us at all, I'd venture to say that it was in a good way.
