I'm having problems converting MP4s to WMVs - the video just stalls after a couple of seconds. So does it matter if I leave them as MP4s? Will some people not be able to view them?

MP4s are the standard now. When I first started making clips i used wmv and the files were huge. Ive yet to have a single person complain about MPs

OMG I am cracking up here...I just went to "Save Movie" and there is a dropdown to save as either MP4 *or* WMV!! That was not there before!
Thanks for the post though, PhatGirlHelpful to know that MP4s are having no problems out there.

Just wanted to leave a quick comment in case anyone else wants to know if mp4 or flv is ok instead of wmv...
Today most modern sites will accept most video file formats. The only common file format that really doesn't play nice with anything that converts videos (any site you upload your video clip to and it streams it in the player will convert your video from the format you upload to its preferred format anyways) is .mov.
These days if someone downloads a video they're probably going to be using the VLC player which plays about anything, or maybe even streaming it to their TV with chromecast or the equivalent. So file formats are less important than they were a couple years ago when .wmv were really popular for the Windows Movie Viewer.

MP4 doesn't work well on Adultwork though...those movies tend to get corrupted so I took most of mine down and put them up again as WMV.

Adultwork or the customer will tell you. They will send the customer a copy to keep rather than pay per view.

MP4 is the most common video format at the moment, but WMV is good to have for customers using older tech. The files are slightly larger but it doesn't make much difference.
